The words of Amos, which came to be in Naqqarim, from Tekoa, which he saw concerning Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah king of Judah and in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake

And I will break the bars of Damascus, and I will destroy the inhabitants from the plain of On, and I will cut off the tribe from the men of Haran, and the people of Syria shall be led away captive, says the Lord

Thus says the Lord: for the three acts of ungodliness of Gaza, and for the four, I will not turn them back, because they took captive a captivity to deliver them up to Salomon, to shut them up into Idumea.

and I will destroy those who dwell from Ashdod, and a tribe shall be removed from Ashkelon, and I will bring my hand upon Ekron, and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, says the Lord

Thus says the Lord: for the three impieties of Tyre, and for the four, I will not turn it back, because they shut up a captivity of Solomon into Idumea, and did not remember a covenant of brothers.

Thus says the Lord: For the three acts of impiety of Idumea, and for the four, I will not turn him back, because of their pursuing their brother with the sword and destroying the womb on the earth, and he seized his terror for a witness, and he kept his impulse for strife.

Thus says the Lord: For the three impieties of the sons of Ammon, and for the four, I will not turn him away, because they ripped open the women with child of the Gileadites, in order that they might enlarge their borders.
