And he found the writings that had been written concerning Mordecai, how he had reported to the king concerning the two eunuchs of the king, while guarding them and seeking to lay hands on Artaxerxes

And while the king was inquiring about Mordecai’s favor, behold, Haman was in the courtyard. And the king said, Who is in the courtyard? And Haman came in to speak to the king to hang Mordecai on the wood which he had prepared.

and let it be given to one of the king’s distinguished friends, and let him clothe the man whom the king loves and let him mount him on the horse and let him proclaim through the broad street of the city, saying, Thus it shall be for every man whom the king honors

And Haman took the robe and the horse, and he clothed Mordecai and mounted him on the horse and went through the wide street of the city and proclaimed, saying, Thus shall it be for every man whom the king wishes to honor.

And Haman recounted the things that had happened to him to Zosara his wife and to his friends, and his friends and his wife said to him, If Mordecai, being from the race of Jews, has begun to be humbled before him, falling you shall surely not be able to take vengeance on him, because the living God is with him.
