And you, bring near to yourself Aaron your brother and his sons from among the sons of Israel, so that Aaron and Nadab and Abiud and Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron, may serve as priests to me.

And you shall make sacred vestments for Aaron your brother, for honor and glory

And you shall speak to all the wise in understanding, whom I have filled with a spirit of discernment, and they shall make the holy garment of Aaron for the sanctuary, in which he shall serve as priest to me

And these are the garments that they shall make: the breastpiece and the shoulder-piece and the robe and the tunic woven with a checkered pattern and the turban and the belt. And they shall make holy garments for Aaron and for his sons, for ministering as priests to me.

And they shall take the gold and the blue and the purple and the scarlet and the fine linen

And they shall make the ephod of twisted fine linen, embroidered work of a weaver.

Two shoulder-pieces shall be joined to it, one to the other, at the two ends, hanging from it.

And the woven work of the shoulder-pieces that is on it, according to the making of it, shall be of gold and of blue and of purple and of scarlet twice-dyed and of twisted fine linen

And you shall take the two stones, emerald stones, and you shall engrave in them the names of the sons of Israel

six names on the one stone and the six remaining names on the second stone according to their births

The work of a stone-cutter’s art, a seal’s engraving, you shall engrave the two stones with the names of the sons of Israel.

And you shall put the two stones on the shoulders of the ephod; they are stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel, and Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel before the Lord on his two shoulders as a memorial concerning them.

And you shall make little shields of pure gold

And you shall make two braided cords of pure gold, interwoven with blossoms, woven work, and you shall put the braided cords, the plaited ones, on the little shields at their shoulder pieces, from the front sides of them.

And you shall make a breastpiece of judgment, the work of an embroiderer; according to the pattern of the ephod you shall make it, from gold and blue, and purple, and scarlet thread, and twisted fine linen you shall make it.

It shall be square, doubled, a span its length and a span its width

And you shall weave in it a woven work of stones, four rows; a row of stones shall be, sardius, topaz, and emerald, the one row.

and the second row, a carbuncle and sapphire and jasper

and the third row, a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst

and the fourth row: chrysolite and beryl and onyx, enclosed with gold, bound in gold, let them be according to their row

And the stones shall be from the names of the sons of Israel, twelve, according to their names; each one, engravings of seals, according to the name, they shall be for the twelve tribes.

And you shall make on the breastpiece braided fringes, chain work, of pure gold.

And Aaron shall take the names of the sons of Israel upon the breastpiece of judgment on his breast, when he goes into the holy place, as a memorial before God

And you shall put on the breastpiece of judgment the manifestation and the truth, and it shall be on Aaron’s breast whenever he goes into the holy place before the Lord, and Aaron shall bear the judgments of the sons of Israel on his breast before the Lord continually.

And you shall make a robe reaching to the feet, entirely blue.

And the opening of it shall be in the middle, having a border all around the opening, the work of a weaver, the seam woven together out of it, so that it may not be torn.

And you shall make on the hem of the undergarment below, like a blossoming pomegranate, pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet dyed twice and twisted linen, on the hem of the undergarment all around; and the same kind, golden bells, and between these all around, round about.

And Aaron shall be in the ministering, his sound audible to him entering into the holy place before the Lord and going out, so that he may not die

And you shall make a pure gold plate, and you shall engrave on it the engraving of a seal: Holiness to the Lord

And you shall place it on a cord of blue, and it shall be on the turban; opposite the front of the turban it shall be.

And it shall be on Aaron’s forehead, and Aaron shall bear away the sins of the holy things, whatever the sons of Israel may consecrate from all the gifts of their holy things, and it shall be on Aaron’s forehead continually, acceptable for them before the Lord.

And the tunics and the caps of fine linen, and you shall make a linen turban, and you shall make a sash, the work of an embroiderer

And for the sons of Aaron you shall make tunics and sashes, and you shall make headbands for them, for honor and glory

And you shall put them on Aaron your brother and his sons with him, and you shall anoint them and fill their hands and consecrate them, so that they may minister as priests to me

And you shall make for them linen undergarments to cover the nakedness of their flesh; from the waist even to the thighs it shall be.

And Aaron and his sons shall have them whenever they go into the tent of witness or whenever they draw near to minister at the altar of the holy place, and they shall not bring sin upon themselves, lest they die; an everlasting statute for him and for his seed after him.
