And the hand of the Lord came upon me, and the Lord brought me out in spirit and set me in the midst of the plain, and this was full of human bones.

And he led me around over them, all around, and behold, very many on the face of the plain, very dry indeed.

And he said to me, Son of man, will these bones live? And I said, Lord, you know these things.

And he said to me, Prophesy over these bones, and you shall say to them: Dry bones, hear a word of the Lord.

Thus says the Lord to these bones: behold, I am bringing into you the spirit of life.

And I will give upon you sinews and will bring up upon you flesh and will stretch out upon you skin, and I will give my spirit into you, and you shall live, and you shall know that I am the Lord

And I prophesied as he commanded me, and it happened, when I prophesied, and behold, a shaking, and the bones drew near, each to its own joint.

And I saw, and behold, sinews were upon them, and flesh was growing, and skin was coming up over them above, but there was no breath in them.

And he said to me, Prophesy, son of man, prophesy to the spirit, and say to the spirit, Thus says the Lord: From the four winds come, and breathe into these dead ones, and let them live.

And I prophesied according as he commanded me, and the spirit entered into them, and they lived and stood upon their feet, a very great multitude.

And the Lord spoke to me, saying, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel, and they themselves say, Our bones have become dry, our hope has perished, we have been destroyed.

Therefore prophesy and say, Thus says the Lord: Behold, I am opening your tombs and I will bring you up from your tombs and I will bring you into the land of Israel

And you shall know that I am Lord when I have opened your tombs to bring up my people from the tombs

And I will give my spirit into you, and you shall live, and I will set you on your land, and you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will do it, says the Lord

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying

Son of man, take for yourself one staff and write on it Judah and the sons of Israel, those joined to him; and take another staff for yourself and write on it Joseph, the staff of Ephraim, and all the sons of Israel, those added to him

and you shall join them to one another for yourself into one rod, so as to bind them, and they shall be in your hand

And it shall be when the sons of your people say to you, Will you not declare to us what these things are to you?

And you shall say to them, Thus says the Lord: Behold, I will take the tribe of Joseph, which is by the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel that are joined to him, and I will give them onto the tribe of Judah, and they shall become into one rod in the hand of Judah.

And the staffs on which you wrote on them with your hand before them shall be.

And you shall say to them, Thus says the Lord Lord: Behold, I am taking the whole house of Israel from the midst of the nations where they entered there, and I will gather them from all around them, and I will bring them into the land of Israel.

And I will make them into one nation in my land and on the mountains of Israel, and one ruler shall be over them, and they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they be divided any more into two kingdoms.

so that they may no longer be defiled by their idols, and I will deliver them from all their lawlessnesses by which they sinned in them, and I will cleanse them, and they shall be to me for a people, and I, the Lord, will be to them for God

And my servant David shall be ruler in the midst of them, and one shepherd shall be of all, because in my ordinances they shall walk, and my judgments they shall keep, and they shall do them.

And they shall dwell upon their land, which I gave to my servant Jacob, where their fathers dwelt there; and they shall dwell on it, they and David my servant shall be their ruler forever

And I will make with them a covenant of peace; it will be an everlasting covenant with them, and I will place my holy things in their midst forever

And my dwelling shall be among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people

And the nations shall know that I am the Lord, the one who sanctifies them, when my holy things are among them in their midst forever.
