Hear these things, O priests, and give heed, house of Israel, and house of the king, listen, because the judgment is toward you, because you have become a snare at the watchtower and as a net spread out upon Tabor.
And those who catch the prey have driven it in, but I am your disciplinarian.
I know Ephraim, and Israel is not far from me; for now Ephraim has committed fornication, Israel has been defiled.
Their counsels did not give them to turn back to their God, for a spirit of whoredom is in them, and they have not known the Lord.
And the pride of Israel shall be humbled before his face, and Israel and Ephraim shall be weakened in their iniquities, and Judah also shall be weakened with them
With sheep and calves they shall go to seek the Lord, but they shall not find him, because he has turned aside from them
For they have forsaken the Lord, because alien children have been born to them; now the mildew shall devour them and their portions of land.
Blow the trumpet on the hills; cry out on the high places; proclaim in the house of On: Benjamin is amazed.
Ephraim has become for destruction; in the days of rebuke, among the tribes of Israel, I made known what is trustworthy.
The princes of Judah have become like those who remove boundaries; upon them I will pour out my wrath like water.
Ephraim has oppressed his adversary, he has trampled judgment, because he began to walk after the vain things.
And I am like turmoil to Ephraim and like a goad to the house of Judah
And Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his pain, and Ephraim went to the Assyrians and sent envoys to king Jareim; but he was not able to heal you, and pain will certainly not cease from among you.
For I am like a panther to Ephraim and like a lion to the house of Judah; and I will seize and go and take, and there will be no one rescuing.
I will go and return to my place until they are destroyed; and they will seek my face in their affliction; early they will seek me, saying
