and the desolate places of the Jordan shall blossom and shall rejoice, and the glory of Lebanon has been given to it, and the honor of Carmel, and my people shall see the glory of the Lord and the height of God
Strengthen, weak hands, and feeble knees.
Comfort, you fainthearted in mind; be strong, do not fear. Behold, our God gives back judgment, and he himself will give back; he will come and save us.
Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall hear.
Then the lame man shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be clear, because water has broken forth in the wilderness, and a torrent in a thirsty land.
And the waterless place shall be into marsh, and into the thirsty land a spring of water shall be there; joy of birds, a dwelling-place of reed and marsh.
There shall be there a clean way, and a holy way it shall be called, and no unclean one shall pass through there, nor shall there be there an unclean way; but the scattered ones shall walk on it, and they shall not be led astray.
And there shall not be there a lion, nor of the evil beasts shall any by no means go up upon it, nor shall any be found there; but the redeemed shall walk in it
and gathered by the Lord they shall be turned back and shall come to Zion with gladness, and everlasting gladness shall be over their head; for praise and exultation and gladness shall seize them, grief and sorrow and groaning have fled away
