And the Lord ordered a great sea creature to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the sea creature three days and three nights.
And Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish
And he said, I cried out in my affliction to the Lord my God, and he heard me; from the belly of Hades you heard my cry, my voice.
You cast me into the depths of the heart of the sea, and rivers surrounded me; all your billows and your waves passed over me.
And I said, I have been thrust away from before your eyes; shall I again add to look toward your holy temple?
Water was poured around me, up to my life; the abyss surrounded me, the last thing; my head went down into the clefts of the mountains.
I went down to the land whose bars are eternal keepers, and let corruption of my life ascend, O Lord my God
When my soul was failing from me, I remembered the Lord, and let my prayer come to you, to your holy temple.
Those who keep vain and false things have forsaken their mercy
But I with the voice of praise and confession will sacrifice to you; as many things as I vowed I will render to you, to the Lord, salvation.
And the sea creature was commanded, and it cast out Jonah onto the dry land.
