God is jealous and avenging, the Lord is avenging; the Lord is avenging with wrath; the Lord is avenging his adversaries, and he himself is removing his enemies.
The Lord is patient and great is his strength, and by no means will the Lord leave one unpunished; in a whirlwind and in a storm is his way, and clouds are the dust of his feet.
He threatens the sea and dries it up and makes all the rivers desolate; Bashan languished and Carmel and the blossoms of Lebanon withered.
The mountains were shaken from before him, and the hills were shaken, and the earth was raised up from before him, all of it, and all who dwell in it.
Before his anger, who will stand? And who will resist in the anger of his wrath? His wrath melts authorities, and the rocks were shattered before him.
The Lord is good to those who wait for him in a day of affliction, and knowing those who fear him
And with a flooding of his way he will make an end of those rising up and of his enemies; darkness will pursue them
What do you devise against the Lord? He will make a complete end; he will not take vengeance twice on the same thing in affliction.
For until their foundation it will be laid waste, and as a thicket entangled it will be eaten up, and as straw full of dryness
From you will go out a devising, devising evil against the Lord, hostile.
Thus says the Lord, ruling over many waters, and so they shall be dispersed, and your report shall not be heard any more
And now I will break his rod from you, and your bonds I will tear apart.
And the Lord will give command concerning you; from your name there shall no more be sown. From the house of your god I will destroy the carved and the molten things; I will make your grave, for you are swift.
