For there our captors asked us for words of songs, and those who led us away, a hymn: Sing to us from the songs of Zion.
How shall we sing the song of the Lord on a foreign land?
If I should forget you, Jerusalem, let my right hand be forgotten.
Let my tongue stick to my throat if I do not remember you, if I do not set Jerusalem before the beginning of my gladness
Remember, O Lord, the sons of Edom, the day of Jerusalem, those who were saying, Empty it, empty it, until the foundation in it.
O daughter of Babylon, wretched one, blessed is he who shall repay you your repayment which you repaid to us
Blessed is he who will seize and dash your infants against the rock
