The Koine Bible

Of David, before he was anointed. The Lord is my light and my savior; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defender of my life; from whom shall I be afraid?

When evildoers drew near against me to eat my flesh, those afflicting me and my enemies, they themselves grew weak and fell.

Though an encampment should set itself in array against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise up against me, in this I hope

One thing I asked from the Lord, this I will seek: my dwelling in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the pleasantness of the Lord and to visit his temple.

For he hid me in his tent in the day of my evils; he covered me in the secret place of his tent; upon a rock he lifted me up

And now behold, he has lifted up my head over my enemies; I have encircled and I have sacrificed in his tent a sacrifice of shouting; I will sing and I will psalm to the Lord.

Hear, O Lord, my voice, which I cried out; have mercy on me and hear me.

My heart said to you: My face sought; your face, O Lord, I will seek.

Do not turn your face away from me; do not turn aside in anger from your servant. Be my helper; do not cast me off, and do not forsake me, O God my Savior.

For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord has taken me up.

Teach me your way, O Lord, and lead me in a straight path because of my enemies

Do not give me over to the souls of those who afflict me, for unjust witnesses have risen up against me, and iniquity has lied to itself.

I believe to see the good things of the Lord in the land of the living.

Wait for the Lord; be brave, and let your heart be strengthened, and wait for the Lord.
