Of David, of the sons of Jonadab and of the first captives. God, on you I have hoped; may I not be put to shame forever.
In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline your ear to me and save me
Be for me a God who defends and a strong place to save me, for you are my support and my refuge.
My God, deliver me from the hand of the sinner, from the hand of the lawless and unjust one.
For you are my patience, Lord, Lord, my hope from my youth.
Upon you I have been supported from the womb; from my mother’s belly, you are my protector. In you is my praise continually.
I have become as a wonder to the many, and you are a mighty helper.
Let my mouth be filled with praise, so that I may hymn all day your glory, your magnificence.
Do not cast me away in the time of old age; when my strength fails, do not forsake me.
For my enemies said against me, and those guarding my soul took counsel together against me
saying, God has forsaken him; pursue and seize him, because there is no one delivering him
O God, do not be far from me; my God, give attention to my help.
Let them be put to shame and let them fail, those who slander my soul; let them be clothed with shame and dishonor, those who seek evils for me
But I will hope continually and I will add to all your praise
My mouth will declare your righteousness, all the day your salvation, because I have not known writings.
I will go in the might of the Lord; O Lord, I will remember your righteousness, yours alone.
You have taught me, O God, from my youth, and until now I will declare your wonders
And even to old age and old age, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare your arm to every coming generation, your might and your righteousness.
God, to the highest heights, the great things which you have done, O God; who is like you?
How many afflictions you showed me, many and evil ones; and turning back, you gave me life, and from the abysses of the earth again you brought me up
You increased your greatness, and turning back you comforted me, and from the abysses of the earth again you brought me up
For I also will confess to you with the instrument of a psalm your truth, O God; I will sing to you with a harp, O Holy One of Israel
My lips will rejoice when I sing to you, and my soul, which you have redeemed
And also my tongue will meditate on your righteousness all the day, when those who seek evils for me are ashamed and confounded.
