Be exalted, O judge of the earth; render recompense to the proud.
How long, O Lord, will sinners, how long will sinners boast?
They will utter and will speak injustice; all who work lawlessness will speak.
Your people, O Lord, they humbled, and your inheritance they afflicted.
They killed widow and sojourner, and they murdered orphans.
And they said, The Lord will not see, nor will the God of Jacob understand.
Understand now, you senseless ones among the people, and you fools, once take thought.
He who planted the ear, does he not hear? Or he who formed the eye, does he not perceive?
He who disciplines nations, will he not reprove? He who teaches man knowledge?
The Lord knows the thoughts of men, that they are vain.
Blessed is the man whom you might discipline, O Lord, and whom you might teach from your law.
to humble him from evil days until a pit is dug for the sinner
For the Lord will not cast off his people, and he will not forsake his inheritance.
until righteousness returns to judgment, and all the upright in heart who hold fast to it. Selah
Who will rise up for me against evildoers, or who will stand by me against those who work lawlessness?
If the Lord had not helped me, my soul would have almost dwelt in Hades.
If I said, My foot has slipped, your mercy, O Lord, helps me.
O Lord, according to the multitude of my pains in my heart, your comforts have loved my soul.
Shall a throne of lawlessness be joined to you, one who frames trouble by decree?
They will hunt for the life of the righteous, and they will condemn innocent blood.
And the Lord became for me a refuge, and my God, a helper of my hope
And he will repay them their lawlessness, and according to their wickedness the Lord our God will destroy them.
