ἀπὸ προσώπου ὄφεως φεῦγε ἀπὸ ἁμαρτίας ἐὰν γὰρ προσέλθῃς δήξεταί σε ὀδόντες λέοντος οἱ ὀδόντες αὐτῆς ἀναιροῦντες ψυχὰς ἀνθρώπων
Flee from sin as from the face of a serpent; for if you draw near, it will bite you with the teeth of a lion; its teeth are destroying the souls of men.
As a double-edged sword, every lawlessness; by its wound there is no healing
Terror and insolence will lay waste wealth; so the house of the proud man will be laid waste.
The prayer of a poor man is from his mouth to his ears, and his judgment comes with haste
One hating reproof is in the path of a sinner, and the one fearing the Lord will turn back in heart.
The strong man is known from afar by his tongue, but the understanding man knows while he slips.
He who builds his house with another’s money is like one gathering his stones in winter.

The exposition of a fool is like a burden on the way, but on the lips of the prudent grace will be found
