After these things, having separated from Athens, he came to Corinth.

And finding a certain Jew named Aquila, a Pontic by race, recently come from Italy, and Priscilla his wife, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to depart from Rome, he approached them,
And because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade.
And he was reasoning in the synagogue every Sabbath, persuading both Jews and Greeks.
But when Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was occupied with the word, testifying to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ.
But when they opposed and blasphemed, shaking out his garments, he said to them, The blood of you is upon your own head; I am clean; from now on I will go to the Gentiles.
And leaving there, he entered the house of a certain man named Titius Justus, who worshiped God, whose house was next to the synagogue.
But Crispus, the leader of the synagogue, believed in the Lord with all his household, and many of the Corinthians hearing believed and were baptized.
But the Lord said to Paul in a night vision, Do not be afraid, but speak and do not be silent,
For I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, because there are many people in this city who belong to me.
He stayed for a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
But Gallio being proconsul of Achaia, the Jews united together against Paul and brought him before the tribunal,
saying that this man persuades people to worship God contrary to the law.
But when Paul was about to speak, Gallio said to the Jews, If it were a crime or a wicked wrongdoing, O Jews, I would bear with you according to reason.
But if there are questions about words and names and your law, you should see to them yourselves; I do not want to be a judge of these matters.
And he drove them away from the tribunal.
And all of them seized Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the synagogue, and beat him in front of the tribunal; and Gallio cared about none of these things.
But Paul, after remaining many days longer with the brothers, having taken leave, sailed for Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila, having cut his hair at Cenchrea, for he had a vow.
And they came down to Ephesus, and he left them there, but he himself entered into the synagogue and spoke to the Jews.
When they asked him to stay longer, he did not consent.
But having decided and said, I will return to you again, if God wills, he set sail from Ephesus,
And having gone down to Caesarea, having gone up and greeted the church, he went down to Antioch,
And after spending some time, he went out, passing through the region of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.
Now a certain Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, a learned man, came to Ephesus, being powerful in the Scriptures.
This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and being full of the Spirit, he spoke and taught accurately about Jesus, knowing only the baptism of John.
He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.
And when he was willing to go through into Achaia, the brothers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples to receive him; and when he arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace.
For he was vigorously refuting the Jews publicly, demonstrating from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.
