And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea is no longer.

And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Behold, the dwelling of God is with humans, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them.

And he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more; neither mourning nor crying nor pain will be anymore. The former things have passed away.

And the one seated on the throne said, Behold, I am making all things new. And he says, Write, because these words are faithful and true.

And he said to me: It has come to pass. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.

The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be God to him, and he will be a son to me.

But for the cowardly and unbelieving and detestable and murderers and sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.

And one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls, the ones full of the seven last plagues, came and spoke with me, saying, Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.

And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God,

Having the glory of God; its light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone shining with crystal.

Having a great and high wall, having twelve gates, and on the gates twelve angels, and names written that are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.

From the east three gates, and from the north three gates, and from the south three gates, and from the west three gates.

And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

And the one speaking with me had a golden measuring rod to measure the city and its gates and its wall.

And the city lies square, and its length is equal to its width. And he measured the city with a reed, twelve thousand stadia; its length and its width and its height are equal.

And he measured its wall, one hundred forty-four cubits, a human measure, which is that of an angel.

And the construction of its wall was jasper, and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.

The foundations of the wall of the city are adorned with every precious stone: the first foundation jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,

the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh hyacinth, the twelfth amethyst;

And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each one of the gates was from one pearl; and the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

And I did not see a temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty is its temple, and the Lamb.

And the city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

And the nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.

And its gates will not be shut by day, for there will be no night there,

And they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.

And nothing unclean and making abomination and falsehood will enter into it, but only those who are written in the book of the life of the Lamb.
