Through whom we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
Not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,
And endurance produces tested character, and tested character produces hope.
And hope does not put to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
For while we were still weak, Christ died for the ungodly at the appointed time.
For hardly will anyone die for a righteous person; though perhaps for a good person someone might even dare to die.
But God demonstrates his love for us, because while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Therefore, much more having been justified now in his blood, we will be saved through him from the wrath.
For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, having been reconciled, we will be saved by his life.
Not only that, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so death spread to all men because all sinned—
For sin was in the world before the law, but sin is not counted where there is no law,
But death reigned from Adam until Moses also over those who did not sin in the likeness of Adam’s transgression, who is a type of the one to come.
But not as the offense, so also the gift. For if by the offense of one many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift in grace by the one man Jesus Christ abound to many.
And not as through one who sinned is the gift; for the judgment is from one to condemnation, but the gift is from many trespasses to justification.
For if death reigned through the trespass of one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the one Jesus Christ.
Therefore, just as through one trespass condemnation came to all people, so also through one act of righteousness justification of life came to all people.
For just as through the disobedience of one man many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of one many will be made righteous.
But the law came in so that the offense might increase; yet where sin increased, grace overflowed all the more,
so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace may reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
