1
And Elijah the prophet, the Tishbite, from Tishbe of Gilead, said to Ahab, As the Lord lives, the God of powers, the God of Israel, before whom I stand, there shall be neither dew nor rain in these years except by the mouth of my word.
10
And he arose and went to Sarepta, to the gate of the city; and behold, there a widow woman was gathering sticks. And Elijah cried after her and said to her, Please take a little water for me in a vessel, and I will drink.
12
And the woman said, As the Lord your God lives, if there is for me a cake, except only a handful of flour in the jar and a little oil in the vessel; and behold, I am gathering two sticks, and I will go in and make it for myself and for my children, and we will eat it and die.
13
And Elijah said to her, Take courage, go in and do according to your word; but make for me from there a small cake first, and you shall bring it out to me, and for yourself and for your children you shall make it afterward.
19
And Eliu said to the woman, Give me your son. And he took him from her bosom and brought him up into the upper room where he himself was sitting there, and he laid him on his bed.
