εἶπεν Σαλωμων πρὸς πάντα Ισραηλ τοῖς χιλιάρχοις καὶ τοῖς ἑκατοντάρχοις καὶ τοῖς κριταῖς καὶ πᾶσιν τοῖς ἄρχουσιν ἐναντίον Ισραηλ τοῖς ἄρχουσι τῶν πατριῶν
And Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the commanders of thousands and to the commanders of hundreds and to the judges and to all the rulers in the presence of Israel, to the rulers of the fathers' houses
ἐπορεύθη Σαλωμων καὶ πᾶσα ἡ ἐκκλησία μετ᾿ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν ὑψηλὴν τὴν ἐν Γαβαων οὗ ἐκεῖ ἦν ἡ σκηνὴ τοῦ μαρτυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἣν ἐποίησεν Μωυσῆς παῖς κυρίου ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ
And Solomon went, and all the assembly with him, to the high place that was in Gabaon, where there was the tent of the testimony of God, which Moses the servant of the Lord made in the wilderness.
But the ark of God David brought up from the city of Kiriath-jearim, because he had prepared for it a tent in Jerusalem
τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χαλκοῦν ὃ ἐποίησεν Βεσελεηλ υἱὸς Ουριου υἱοῦ Ωρ ἐκεῖ ἦν ἔναντι τῆς σκηνῆς κυρίου καὶ ἐξεζήτησεν αὐτὸ Σαλωμων καὶ ἡ ἐκκλησία
And the bronze altar that Bezalel son of Uri son of Hur had made was there before the tent of the Lord, and Solomon and the assembly sought it.
ἀνήνεγκεν ἐκεῖ Σαλωμων ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χαλκοῦν ἐνώπιον κυρίου τὸ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν ἐπ᾿ αὐτὸ ὁλοκαύτωσιν χιλίαν
And Solomon offered up there on the bronze altar before the Lord, which was in the tent, and he offered up on it a thousand burnt offerings.
In that night God appeared to Solomon and said to him, Ask what I shall give you.
εἶπεν Σαλωμων πρὸς τὸν θεόν σὺ ἐποίησας μετὰ Δαυιδ τοῦ πατρός μου ἔλεος μέγα καὶ ἐβασίλευσάς με ἀντ᾿ αὐτοῦ
And Solomon said to God, You did great mercy with David my father, and you made me king in his place.
νῦν κύριε ὁ θεός πιστωθήτω τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐπὶ Δαυιδ πατέρα μου ὅτι σὺ ἐβασίλευσάς με ἐπὶ λαὸν πολὺν ὡς ὁ χοῦς τῆς γῆς
And now, O Lord God, let your name be confirmed upon David my father, for you have made me king over a numerous people, like the dust of the earth.
σοφίαν καὶ σύνεσιν δός μοι καὶ ἐξελεύσομαι ἐνώπιον τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου καὶ εἰσελεύσομαι ὅτι τίς κρινεῖ τὸν λαόν σου τὸν μέγαν τοῦτον
Now give me wisdom and understanding, and I will go out before this people and I will come in, for who will judge this your great people?
εἶπεν ὁ θεὸς πρὸς Σαλωμων ἀνθ᾿ ὧν ἐγένετο τοῦτο ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ σου καὶ οὐκ ᾐτήσω πλοῦτον χρημάτων οὐδὲ δόξαν οὐδὲ τὴν ψυχὴν τῶν ὑπεναντίων καὶ ἡμέρας πολλὰς οὐκ ᾐτήσω καὶ ᾔτησας σεαυτῷ σοφίαν καὶ σύνεσιν ὅπως κρίνῃς τὸν λαόν μου ἐφ᾿ ὃν ἐβασίλευσά σε ἐπ᾿ αὐτόν
And God said to Solomon, Because this came to be in your heart, and you did not ask for wealth of money, nor glory, nor the life of your adversaries, nor did you ask for many days, but you asked for yourself wisdom and understanding, so that you might judge my people over whom I made you king over them.
σοφίαν καὶ τὴν σύνεσιν δίδωμί σοι καὶ πλοῦτον καὶ χρήματα καὶ δόξαν δώσω σοι ὡς οὐκ ἐγενήθη ὅμοιός σοι ἐν τοῖς βασιλεῦσι τοῖς ἔμπροσθέ σου καὶ μετὰ σὲ οὐκ ἔσται οὕτως
wisdom and understanding I give you, and riches and wealth and glory I will give you, such as none has come to be like you among the kings before you, and after you there will not be so
ἦλθεν Σαλωμων ἐκ βαμα τῆς ἐν Γαβαων εἰς Ιερουσαλημ ἀπὸ προσώπου σκηνῆς μαρτυρίου καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἐπὶ Ισραηλ
And Solomon came from the high place that was in Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tent of testimony, and he reigned over Israel.
συνήγαγεν Σαλωμων ἅρματα καὶ ἱππεῖς καὶ ἐγένοντο αὐτῷ χίλια καὶ τετρακόσια ἅρματα καὶ δώδεκα χιλιάδες ἱππέων καὶ κατέλιπεν αὐτὰ ἐν πόλεσιν τῶν ἁρμάτων καὶ ὁ λαὸς μετὰ τοῦ βασιλέως ἐν Ιερουσαλημ
And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen, and there came to be for him one thousand and four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen, and he left them in the chariot cities, and the people with the king in Jerusalem.
ἔθηκεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τὸ χρυσίον καὶ τὸ ἀργύριον ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ὡς λίθους καὶ τὰς κέδρους ἐν τῇ Ιουδαίᾳ ὡς συκαμίνους τὰς ἐν τῇ πεδινῇ εἰς πλῆθος
And the king made the gold and the silver in Jerusalem as stones, and the cedars in Judah as sycamores that are in the lowland, in abundance
ἡ ἔξοδος τῶν ἵππων τῶν Σαλωμων ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἡ τιμὴ τῶν ἐμπόρων τοῦ βασιλέως ἐμπορεύεσθαι ἠγόραζον
And the export of Solomon’s horses was from Egypt, and the merchants of the king, by trading, used to buy at a price
ἀνέβαινον καὶ ἐξῆγον ἐξ Αἰγύπτου ἅρμα ἓν ἑξακοσίων ἀργυρίου καὶ ἵππον ἑκατὸν καὶ πεντήκοντα καὶ οὕτως πᾶσιν τοῖς βασιλεῦσιν τῶν Χετταίων καὶ βασιλεῦσιν Συρίας ἐν χερσὶν αὐτῶν ἔφερον
And they would go up and bring out from Egypt one chariot for six hundred of silver, and a horse for one hundred and fifty; and so for all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Syria, by their hands they were bringing them.
And Solomon said to build a house for the name of the Lord and a house for his kingdom
