ἐγένετο μετὰ εἴκοσι ἔτη ἐν οἷς ᾠκοδόμησεν Σαλωμων τὸν οἶκον κυρίου καὶ τὸν οἶκον ἑαυτοῦ

And it came to pass after twenty years, in which Solomon built the house of the Lord and his own house

τὰς πόλεις ἃς ἔδωκεν Χιραμ τῷ Σαλωμων ᾠκοδόμησεν αὐτὰς Σαλωμων καὶ κατῴκισεν ἐκεῖ τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ

And the cities that Hiram had given to Solomon, Solomon built them, and settled there the sons of Israel.

ἦλθεν Σαλωμων εἰς Αιμαθ Σωβα καὶ κατίσχυσεν αὐτήν

And Solomon came to Hamath-zobah and took hold of it.

ᾠκοδόμησεν τὴν Θεδμορ ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ καὶ πάσας τὰς πόλεις τὰς ὀχυράς ἃς ᾠκοδόμησεν ἐν Ημαθ

And he built Thedmor in the wilderness and all the fortified cities that he built in Hamath

ᾠκοδόμησεν τὴν Βαιθωρων τὴν ἄνω καὶ τὴν Βαιθωρων τὴν κάτω πόλεις ὀχυράς τείχη πύλαι καὶ μοχλοί

And he built Upper Beth-horon and Lower Beth-horon, fortified cities, walls, gates, and bars.

and Baalath and all the fortified cities that were for Solomon and all the chariot cities and the cities of the horsemen and whatever Solomon desired according to the desire to build in Jerusalem and in Lebanon and in all his kingdom

all the people who were left from the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite, who are not from Israel

They were from the sons of them that were left after them in the land, whom the sons of Israel did not utterly destroy, and Solomon brought them up to tribute until this day

9

And from the sons of Israel Solomon did not give as slaves to his kingdom, because they were men of war and rulers and mighty men and rulers of chariots and horsemen.

οὗτοι ἄρχοντες τῶν προστατῶν βασιλέως Σαλωμων πεντήκοντα καὶ διακόσιοι ἐργοδιωκτοῦντες ἐν τῷ λαῷ

And these were the chiefs of King Solomon’s overseers: two hundred and fifty, those who were over the people of forced labor.

And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh from the city of David into the house that he had built for her, because he said, My wife shall not dwell in the city of David, the king of Israel, because it is holy, where the ark of the Lord entered there.

ἀνήνεγκεν Σαλωμων ὁλοκαυτώματα τῷ κυρίῳ ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον ὃ ᾠκοδόμησεν ἀπέναντι τοῦ ναοῦ

Then Solomon offered burnt offerings to the Lord on the altar which he had built before the temple

and according to the matter of a day in a day, for offering according to the commandments of Moses, on the sabbaths and on the months and on the feasts, three times of the year, at the feast of the unleavened bread and at the feast of the weeks and at the feast of the booths

14

And he established according to the ordinance of David the divisions of the priests according to their ministries, and the Levites over their watches to praise and to minister before the priests, according to the matter of a day in its day, and the gatekeepers according to their divisions at gate and gate, for thus were the commandments of David, the man of God.

παρῆλθον τὰς ἐντολὰς τοῦ βασιλέως περὶ τῶν ἱερέων καὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν εἰς πάντα λόγον καὶ εἰς τοὺς θησαυρούς

They did not transgress the commands of the king concerning the priests and the Levites in any matter and concerning the treasuries.

ἡτοιμάσθη πᾶσα ἡ ἐργασία ἀφ᾿ ἧς ἡμέρας ἐθεμελιώθη ἕως οὗ ἐτελείωσεν Σαλωμων τὸν οἶκον κυρίου

And all the work was prepared from the day on which it was founded until Solomon finished the house of the Lord

ᾤχετο Σαλωμων εἰς Γασιωνγαβερ καὶ εἰς τὴν Αιλαθ τὴν παραθαλασσίαν ἐν γῇ Ιδουμαίᾳ

Then Solomon went to Ezion-geber and to Elath, the one by the sea, in the land of Idumea.

And Hiram sent by the hand of his servants ships and servants knowing the sea, and they went with the servants of Solomon to Sophira and took from there four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and they came to King Solomon
