And when Solomon had finished praying, then fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offerings and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the house
And all the sons of Israel were seeing the fire coming down, and the glory of the Lord upon the house, and they fell on their face to the ground on the pavement, and they worshiped and praised the Lord, because he is good, because his mercy is forever.
And Solomon sacrificed the sacrifice of twenty-two thousand cattle and one hundred and twenty thousand from the herd, and the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.
and the priests standing at their watches and the Levites with instruments of songs of the Lord, of David the king, to give thanks before the Lord, because his mercy is forever, in hymns of David by their hand, and the priests trumpeting with the trumpets before them, and all Israel standing
And Solomon sanctified the middle of the court that was in the house of the Lord, because he made there the whole burnt offerings and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar that Solomon made was not able to receive the whole burnt offerings and the offerings and the fat.
And Solomon held the feast at that time seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath and as far as the brook of Egypt.
And on the twenty-third of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, rejoicing and with a good heart because of the good things which the Lord had done to David and to Solomon and to Israel his people.
And Solomon finished the house of the Lord and the house of the king and all that Solomon desired in his soul to do in the house of the Lord and in his house; he prospered.
and if my people, upon whom my name has been called upon them, shall be ashamed and pray and seek my face and turn back from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven and will be gracious to their sins and will heal their land
And you, if you shall walk before me as David your father and shall do according to all that I commanded you, and my statutes and my judgments you shall keep
and I will establish the throne of your kingdom, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, there shall not be cut off from you a man ruling in Israel
and I will remove you from the land that I gave to them, and this house that I sanctified to my name I will cast away from before my face, and I will give it for a proverb and for a byword among all the nations
And this house, the high one, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and will say, For what cause has the Lord done this to this land and to this house?
And they shall say, Because they forsook the Lord, the God of their fathers, the one who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and they took hold of other gods and bowed down to them and served them; therefore he brought upon them all this evil.
