3
And Abijah drew up the battle in strength, warriors, four hundred thousand mighty men, and Jeroboam drew up battle against him, with eight hundred thousand mighty warriors in strength
7
And there were gathered to him worthless men, sons of lawlessness, and they opposed Rehoboam the son of Solomon, and Rehoboam was young and timid in heart, and he did not withstand before his face.
8
And now you say to withstand before the kingdom of the Lord by the hand of the sons of David, and you are a very great multitude, and with you are golden calves, which Jeroboam made for you as gods.
9
Did you not cast out the priests of the Lord, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and make for yourselves priests from the people of the land? Whoever came to fill his hands with a bull calf from the cattle and with seven rams became a priest to what is not a god.
11
they burn to the Lord whole burnt offerings morning and evening, and incense of mixture, and the setting out of loaves on the clean table, and the golden lampstand and its lamps for burning, to kindle evening, because we are keeping the watches of the Lord God of our fathers, but you have forsaken him
12
And behold, with us at the head is the Lord and his priests and the trumpets of signal for signaling against you; sons of Israel, you shall fight against the Lord, the God of our fathers, for you shall not prosper.
