And he said to the Levites, the mighty men in all Israel, to consecrate them to the Lord, and they put the holy ark into the house that Solomon son of David king of Israel had built. And the king said, It is not for you to bear anything on your shoulders; now therefore minister to the Lord your God and to his people Israel.

And Josiah gave as a contribution to the sons of the people sheep and lambs and kids from the young of the goats, all for the Passover, for all those who were found, in number thirty thousand, and bulls three thousand; these were from the king’s possessions.

And his officials contributed to the people and to the priests and to the Levites. Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, the officials of the house of God, gave to the priests for the Passover lambs and sheep and lambs and goats two thousand six hundred, and calves three hundred

And Chenaniah and Benaiah and Shemaiah and Nathaniel his brother and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, rulers of the Levites, gave to the Levites for the Passover five thousand sheep and five hundred calves.

And they prepared the burnt offering to give to them according to the division by ancestral houses for the sons of the people, to offer to the Lord, as it is written in the book of Moses; and so until morning.

And after they had prepared for themselves and for the priests, for the priests were in offering up the fat pieces and the burnt offerings until night, and the Levites prepared for themselves and for their brothers, the sons of Aaron.

And the singers, sons of Asaph, were in their station according to the commands of David and Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, the prophets of the king; and the rulers and the gatekeepers of gate and gate, it was not for them to move away from the service of the holy things, because their brothers, the Levites, had prepared for them.

And all the service of the Lord was completed and prepared on that day, to make the Passover and to bring the whole burnt offerings upon the altar of the Lord according to the command of King Josiah.

And no Passover like it came to be in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet, and all the kings of Israel did not do as the Passover which Josiah did, and the priests and the Levites and all Judah and Israel who were found, and the inhabitants in Jerusalem, to the Lord

ὀκτωκαιδεκάτῳ ἔτει τῆς βασιλείας Ιωσια τοὺς ἐγγαστριμύθους καὶ τοὺς γνώστας καὶ τὰ θαραφιν καὶ τὰ εἴδωλα καὶ τὰ καρασιμ ἦν ἐν γῇ Ιουδα καὶ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ἐνεπύρισεν βασιλεὺς Ιωσιας ἵνα στήσῃ τοὺς λόγους τοῦ νόμου τοὺς γεγραμμένους ἐπὶ τοῦ βιβλίου οὗ εὗρεν Χελκιας ἱερεὺς ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ κυρίου αὐτῷ οὐκ ἐγενήθη ἔμπροσθεν αὐτοῦ ὃς ἐπέστρεψεν πρὸς κύριον ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν ὅλῃ ψυχῇ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν ὅλῃ ἰσχύι αὐτοῦ κατὰ πάντα τὸν νόμον Μωυσῆ καὶ μετ᾿ αὐτὸν οὐκ ἀνέστη ὅμοιος αὐτῷ οὐκ ἀπεστράφη κύριος ἀπὸ ὀργῆς θυμοῦ αὐτοῦ τοῦ μεγάλου οὗ ὠργίσθη θυμῷ κύριος ἐν τῷ Ιουδα ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ παροργίσματα παρώργισεν Μανασσης εἶπεν κύριος καί γε τὸν Ιουδαν ἀποστήσω ἀπὸ προσώπου μου καθὼς ἀπέστησα τὸν Ισραηλ καὶ ἀπωσάμην τὴν πόλιν ἣν ἐξελεξάμην τὴν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ τὸν οἶκον ὃν εἶπα ἔσται τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐκεῖ
In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah

And he sent messengers to him, saying, What is there between me and you, king of Judah? I am not coming against you today to make war, and God said to hasten me. Beware of God who is with me, lest he destroy you.

And Josiah did not turn his face away from him, but strengthened himself only to fight him; and he did not listen to the words of Neco through the mouth of God, and he came to fight in the field of Megiddo

And his servants brought him out from the chariot and put him onto the second chariot that he had, and brought him to Jerusalem, and he died and was buried with his fathers, and all Judah and Jerusalem mourned over Josiah.

And Jeremiah lamented over Josiah, and all the rulers and the women rulers spoke a lament over Josiah to this day, and they gave him for an ordinance concerning Israel; and behold, it is written among the laments.
