The Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada and Johanan and Iddo, registered as heads of fathers’ houses, and the priests, in the reign of Darius the Persian

And the leaders of the Levites, Hashabiah and Sherebiah and Jeshua, and the sons of Kadmiel and their brothers, opposite them, for singing praise and thanksgiving, according to the commandment of David, the man of God, division by division.

when I gathered together the gatekeepers

in the days of Joakim son of Jeshua son of Josedek, and in the days of Nehemiah and Ezra the priest, the scribe

And at the dedications of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites in their places to bring them to Jerusalem, to make dedications and gladness with thanksgiving and with songs, cymbals, and psalteries, and lyres.

And the sons of the singers were gathered together, and from the environs round about, into Jerusalem, and from the villages.

and from fields, because the singers built themselves dwellings in Jerusalem

And the priests and the Levites were purified, and they purified the people and the gatekeepers and the wall.

And I brought up the leaders of Judah upon the wall, and I set two great thanksgiving choirs, and they passed on the right over the wall of the dung gate.

And Hoshea went after them, and half of the rulers of Judah.

And from the sons of the priests, with trumpets: Zechariah son of Jonathan, son of Shemaiah, son of Mattaniah, son of Micaiah, son of Zaccur, son of Asaph

and his brothers, Shemaiah and Uzziel, to praise with the songs of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them

at the Gate of the Fountain opposite them they went up by the stairs of the city of David at the ascent of the wall above the house of David and as far as the Water Gate toward the east

And on that day they appointed men over the storerooms for the treasures, for the firstfruits and for the tithes and for the things gathered in them, by the rulers of the cities, portions for the priests and for the Levites, because there was joy in Judah over the priests and over the Levites who were standing.

And they kept the watches of their God and the watches of the purification and the singers and the gatekeepers, according to the commandments of David and Solomon his son

For in the days of David, Asaph was from the beginning first among the singers, and a hymn and praise to God

And all Israel in the days of Zerobabel, giving portions to the singers and the gatekeepers, the provision of each day on its day, and setting apart for the Levites, and the Levites setting apart for the sons of Aaron.
