And the Lord touched the king, and he was a leper until the day of his death, and he lived in the house of Aphphousoth; and Jotham the son of the king was over the house, judging the people of the land.

And Menahem brought out the silver upon Israel, upon every mighty man of strength, to give to the king of Assyria fifty shekels for each man; and the king of Assyria turned back and did not stay there in the land.

And Pekah son of Remaliah, his third officer, conspired against him and struck him in Samaria, before the house of the king, with Argob and with Ariah, and with him fifty men from the four hundred, and he put him to death and reigned in his place.

In the days of Phakee king of Israel, Thaglathphellasar king of the Assyrians came and took Ien and Abelbethmaacha and Iannoch and Kenez and Asor and Galaad and all Galilee, the land of Nephthali, and he deported them to Assyria.

And Hoshea son of Elah conspired a conspiracy against Pekah son of Remaliah, and struck him and put him to death, and reigned in his place in the twentieth year of Jotham son of Azariah.
