And the sons of the slayers he did not put to death, according as it has been written in the book of the law of Moses, as the Lord commanded, saying, Fathers shall not die for sons, and sons shall not die for fathers; but each shall die in his own sins.

And Joash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thorn-bush that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give your daughter to my son as a wife; and the wild beasts of the field that were in Lebanon passed through and trampled the thorn-bush.

And Amaziah son of Joash son of Ahaziah, king of Judah, Joash son of Jehoahaz, king of Israel, seized at Beth-shemesh, and he came to Jerusalem and broke down in the wall of Jerusalem at the gate of Ephraim as far as the corner gate, four hundred cubits.

And he took the gold and the silver and all the vessels found in the house of the Lord and in the treasuries of the house of the king and the sons of the alliances, and he returned to Samaria.

And the rest of the words of Joash, as many as he did in his might, which he fought with against Amasias king of Judah, are not these written in the book of the words of the days for the kings of Israel?

He restored the boundary of Israel from the entrance of Hamath as far as the sea of the Arabah, according to the word of the Lord, the God of Israel, which he spoke by the hand of his servant Jonah son of Amathi, the prophet from Gath-hepher.

And the rest of the words of Jeroboam and all that he did and his mighty deeds, how many things he fought and how he restored Damascus and Hamath to Judah in Israel, are not these written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
