And it came to pass after these things that David struck the Philistines and routed them, and David took the separated spoil from the hand of the Philistines

And David struck Moab and measured them with ropes, laying them on the ground, and there came to be two rope-measures to put to death, and two rope-measures he kept alive, and Moab became to David as servants bringing tribute
