The Koine Bible

All the commandments that I command you today you shall keep to do, so that you may live and multiply and go in and inherit the land which the Lord your God swore to your fathers

And you shall remember all the way which the Lord your God led you in the wilderness, so that he might afflict you and test you and what is in your heart might be made known, whether you will keep his commandments or not.

And he afflicted you and made you hunger and fed you the manna, which your fathers did not know, in order to make known to you that not by bread alone shall the man live, but by every word that goes out through the mouth of God shall the man live.

Your garments did not wear out from you; your feet did not become swollen. Behold, forty years.

And you shall know in your heart that, as if a man should discipline his son, so the Lord your God will discipline you

And keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in his ways and to fear him

For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good and much land, where are torrents of waters and fountains of abysses, coming out through the plains and through the mountains

a land of wheat and barley, vines, fig trees, pomegranates, a land of olive trees, of oil and honey

a land on which you shall not eat your bread in poverty, and you shall lack nothing on it, a land whose stones are iron, and from its mountains you shall mine copper

And you shall eat and be filled, and you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which he gave you

Take heed to yourself, lest you forget the Lord your God, so as not to keep his commandments and his judgments and his ordinances, which I command you today.

lest, having eaten and been filled, and having built good houses and dwelt in them

and when your cattle and your sheep have been multiplied for you, silver and gold having been multiplied for you, and all that will be yours having been multiplied for you

and your heart be lifted up and you forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery

who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, where there was the biting serpent and scorpion and thirst, where there was no water, who brought forth for you a spring of water out of a flinty rock

who fed you with the manna in the wilderness, which your fathers did not know, in order to afflict you and to test you and to do you good at the end of your days

Do not say in your heart, My strength and the might of my hand have made for me this great power.

And you shall remember the Lord your God, because he himself gives you strength to do power, and so that he may establish his covenant which the Lord swore to your fathers, as it is today.

And it shall be, if you by forgetting forget the Lord your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, I bear witness to you today, the heaven and the earth, that by destruction you shall perish.

As also the rest of the nations, as many as the Lord destroys before your face, so you shall be destroyed, because you did not listen to the voice of the Lord your God.
