But if the Lord your God brings you into the land into which you are entering there to inherit, and he removes great nations from before you, the Hittite and the Gergesite and the Amorite and the Canaanite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite, seven nations, many and mightier than you

and the Lord your God will deliver them into your hands, and you shall strike them with utter destruction; you shall utterly destroy them; you shall not make a covenant with them, nor shall you surely pity them

And you shall not intermarry with them: your daughter you shall not give to his son, and his daughter you shall not take for your son.

For he will turn your son away from me and will serve other gods, and the Lord will be angry with wrath against you and will quickly destroy you.

But thus you shall do to them: you shall tear down their altars and shatter their pillars and cut down their sacred groves and burn the carved images of their gods with fire

For you are a holy people to the Lord your God, and the Lord your God has chosen you to be for him a special people above all the nations that are on the face of the earth.

Not because you are more numerous than all the nations did the Lord choose you and select you, for you are few in number beyond all the nations

but because the Lord loved you and kept the oath which he swore to your fathers, the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand and with a high arm, and he redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt

And you shall know that the Lord your God, this one is God, a faithful God, keeping covenant and mercy to those who love him and to those who keep his commandments to a thousand generations.

and repaying those who hate him before the face, to destroy them, and he will not delay to those who hate him; before the face he will repay them

and you shall keep these commandments and the statutes and the judgments, as many as I command you today, to do them

And it shall be when you hear all these ordinances and keep and do them, that the Lord your God will keep for you the covenant and the mercy which he swore to your fathers

and he will love you and bless you and multiply you and bless the offspring of your womb and the fruit of your land, your grain and your wine and your oil, the herds of your cattle and the flocks of your sheep, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give to you

Blessed shall you be above all the nations; there shall not be among you one barren nor one barren woman, and among your livestock

And the Lord will remove from you every weakness and all the evil diseases of Egypt which you saw, and whatever you knew he will not put upon you, but he will put them upon all those who hate you.

And you shall eat all the spoils of the nations which the Lord your God gives you; your eye shall not spare them, and you shall not serve their gods, because this is a snare to you.

And if you say in your mind, This nation is much more than I; how will I be able to destroy them?

You shall not fear them; you shall surely remember what the Lord your God did to Pharaoh and to all the Egyptians.

the great trials which your eyes saw, those great signs and wonders, that mighty hand and that exalted arm, as the Lord your God brought you out, so the Lord our God will do to all the nations before whom you fear.

And the hornets the Lord your God will send against them, until those who remain and those who are hidden from you are destroyed.

You shall not be wounded before them, because the Lord your God is among you, a great and mighty God

And the Lord your God will consume these nations from before you little by little; you will not be able to consume them quickly, lest the land become desolate and the wild beasts multiply against you.

And the Lord your God will give them into your hands and will destroy them with great destruction until he utterly destroys them.

And he will give their kings into your hands, and their name will perish from that place; no one will stand against your face until you destroy them.

You shall burn with fire the carved images of their gods; you shall not desire silver or gold from them, and you shall not take it for yourself, lest you stumble because of it, for it is an abomination to the Lord your God.

And you shall not bring an abomination into your house, and you shall be devoted to destruction like this; you shall utterly detest and abhor it, for it is devoted to destruction.
