And the Lord said to Moses, hew for yourself two stone tablets like the former ones, and go up to me onto the mountain, and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the former tablets, which you shattered.

And be ready for the morning, and you shall go up onto Mount Sinai, and you shall stand there for me on the top of the mountain

And let no one go up with you, and let no one be seen in all the mountain, and let the sheep and the oxen not graze near that mountain.

And he hewed two tablets of stone, just like the first ones, and Moses rose early and went up onto Mount Sinai, just as the Lord had commanded him, and Moses took the two tablets of stone

And the Lord descended in a cloud and stood by him there and called on the name of the Lord

And the Lord passed before him, and the Lord God called, compassionate and merciful, long-suffering and very merciful and true

and keeping righteousness and doing mercy to thousands, removing lawlessness and injustices and sins, and he will by no means clear the guilty, bringing lawlessness of fathers upon children and upon children’s children, to the third and fourth generation

And Moses, hastening and bowing down upon the ground, worshiped

And he said, If I have found favor before you, let my Lord go with us, for the people are stiff-necked, and you will take away our sins and our lawless deeds, and we will be yours.

And the Lord said to Moses, Behold, I am making a covenant with you before all your people; I will do glorious things that have not happened in all the earth and in every nation, and all the people among whom you are shall see the works of the Lord, because the things that I will do for you are marvelous.

Take heed to yourself all that I command you; behold, I am casting out before your face the Amorite and the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Gergashite and the Jebusite

Take heed to yourself, lest ever you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land into which you are entering, lest it become a stumbling block among you.

You shall tear down their altars and break their pillars and cut down their sacred groves and burn the carved images of their gods in fire

For you shall not worship another god, for the Lord God is a jealous name, a jealous God is he.

lest you make a covenant with those dwelling among the foreigners in the land, and they prostitute themselves after their gods and sacrifice to their gods, and they call you and you eat of their sacrifices

and you take of their daughters for your sons, and of your daughters you give to their sons, and your daughters go astray after their gods, and they go astray your sons after their gods

And molten gods you shall not make for yourself

And you shall keep the feast of unleavened bread; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, just as I have commanded you, at the time in the month of new things, for in the month of new things you came out from Egypt.

Every one opening a womb is mine; the males, the firstborn of a calf and the firstborn of a sheep.

And the firstborn of a beast of burden you shall redeem with a sheep; but if you do not redeem it, you shall give its value. Every firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. You shall not appear before me empty.

Six days you shall work, but on the seventh you shall cease; in plowing and in harvest you shall cease.

And you shall make for me a feast of weeks, the beginning of the harvest of wheat, and the feast of gathering, at the middle of the year

Three times in the year every male of yours shall appear before the Lord, the God of Israel

For when I cast out the nations before you and enlarge your borders, no one shall desire your land when you go up to appear before the Lord your God three times in the year

You shall not sacrifice the blood of my offerings with leaven, and the sacrifices of the Passover feast shall not remain until morning.

The first-fruits of your land you shall bring into the house of the Lord your God; you shall not boil a lamb in its mother’s milk.

And the Lord said to Moses, Write for yourself these words, for on account of these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.

And Moses was there before the Lord forty days and forty nights; he ate no bread and drank no water, and he wrote these words on the tablets of the covenant, the ten words.

And as Moses was coming down from the mountain, and the two tablets were in the hands of Moses as he was coming down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the appearance of the color of his face had been glorified in his speaking with him.

And Aaron and all the elders of Israel saw Moses, and the appearance of the color of his face had been glorified, and they were afraid to approach him.

And Moses called them, and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation turned back to him, and Moses spoke to them

And after these things all the sons of Israel came near to him, and he commanded them all that the Lord had spoken to him on Mount Sinai.

And when he had finished speaking to them, he put a veil on his face

But whenever Moses went in before the Lord to speak with him, he would remove the veil until he came out, and when he had come out he spoke to all the sons of Israel whatever the Lord commanded him.

And the sons of Israel saw the face of Moses, that it had been glorified, and Moses put a covering on his own face until whenever he should enter to speak with him
