And you, son of man, say: Thus says the Lord to the land of Israel: An end has come, the end has come upon the four wings of the land.
The end has come.
Upon you, you who dwell on the land, the time has come; the day has drawn near, not with confusion and not with pangs of birth.
Now I will pour out my anger upon you from near, and I will bring my wrath to completion against you, and I will judge you according to your ways, and I will place upon you all your abominations
My eye will not spare, nor will I surely have mercy, for I will give your ways upon you, and your abominations will be in the midst of you, and you will know that I am the Lord who strikes.
Now the end has come upon you, and I will send against you and avenge you in your ways, and I will put all your abominations upon you
My eye will not spare you, nor will I surely have mercy, because I will give your way upon you, and your abominations will be in your midst, and you will know that I am the Lord
For thus says the Lord
Behold, the end has come; behold, the day of the Lord; if indeed the rod has blossomed, insolence has risen up.
and it will break the support of the lawless one, and not with tumult nor with haste
The time has come; behold, the day. Let not the one who acquires rejoice, and let not the one who sells mourn.
For the buyer will no longer return to the seller, and a man in the eye of his life will not hold fast.
Sound the trumpet, and judge everything.
The sword is outside, and famine and death are inside; he who is in the field shall die by the sword, but famine and death shall consume those in the city.
And those being rescued from among them shall be rescued, and they shall be on the mountains; I will kill everyone, each one in his injustices.
All hands will be feeble, and all thighs will be defiled with moisture.
And they shall gird themselves with sackcloth, and awe shall cover them, and upon every face shame, and upon them, and upon every head baldness
Their silver will be thrown into the streets, and their gold will be treated with contempt; their souls shall by no means be satisfied, and their bellies shall by no means be filled, because it became a stumbling block of their injustices.
They made their choice of the world for pride, and they made from them images of their abominations; for this reason I gave them to them for uncleanness.
And I will give them into the hands of strangers to plunder them, and to the pests of the land for spoil, and they will profane them.
And I will turn my face away from them, and they will defile my oversight, and they will enter into them without guard, and they will profane them
And they shall make a tumult, because the land is full of peoples, and the city is full of lawlessness.
And I will turn away the arrogance of their strength, and their holy things shall be defiled
A propitiation will come, and it will seek peace, and there will not be any.
Woe upon woe shall be, and report upon report shall be, and a vision shall be sought from a prophet, and instruction shall perish from a priest, and counsel from elders
The prince will clothe himself with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land will be paralyzed. According to their ways I will do to them, and in their judgments I will avenge them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
