And I will stretch out my hand against the prophets who see false things and who utter vain things in the instruction of my people; they shall not be, nor shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, and into the land of Israel they shall not enter; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

Therefore thus says the Lord: and I will break out a sweeping blast in wrath, and in my anger there will be a flood of rain, and I will bring down the hailstones in fury for destruction.

And I will tear down the wall that you plastered, and it shall fall, and I will lay it on the ground, and its foundations shall be uncovered, and it shall fall, and you shall be brought to an end with reproofs, and you shall know that I am the Lord.

And you shall say, Thus says the Lord: Woe to the women sewing pillows on every elbow of the hand and making veils over every head of every age, to pervert souls; the souls of my people were perverted, and souls they were getting for themselves.

And they were profaning me among my people for a handful of barley and for fragments of bread, to put to death souls that ought not to die and to preserve souls that ought not to live, in your speaking to a people listening vain utterances.

Therefore thus says the Lord Lord: behold, I am against your headbands with which you are twisting souls there, and I will tear them from your arms, and I will send out the souls that you are twisting, the souls of them, into dispersion

Because you turned aside the heart of the righteous unjustly, and I did not turn him aside, and to strengthen the hands of the lawless, so that he might not at all turn back from his evil way and live, he himself
