ἀνθρώπου ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ἀδικιῶν αὐτῶν σὺ κατοικεῖς οἳ ἔχουσιν ὀφθαλμοὺς τοῦ βλέπειν καὶ οὐ βλέπουσιν καὶ ὦτα ἔχουσιν τοῦ ἀκούειν καὶ οὐκ ἀκούουσιν διότι οἶκος παραπικραίνων ἐστίν
Son of man, in the midst of their injustices you dwell, who have eyes to see and do not see, and ears they have to hear and do not hear, because it is a provoking house.
σύ υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου ποίησον σεαυτῷ σκεύη αἰχμαλωσίας ἡμέρας ἐνώπιον αὐτῶν καὶ αἰχμαλωτευθήσῃ ἐκ τοῦ τόπου σου εἰς ἕτερον τόπον ἐνώπιον αὐτῶν ὅπως ἴδωσιν διότι οἶκος παραπικραίνων ἐστίν
And you, son of man, make for yourself vessels of captivity by day before them, and you shall be led away captive from your place to another place before them, so that they may see, because they are a house provoking bitterness.
ἐξοίσεις τὰ σκεύη σου ὡς σκεύη αἰχμαλωσίας ἡμέρας κατ᾿ ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ σὺ ἐξελεύσῃ ἑσπέρας ὡς ἐκπορεύεται αἰχμάλωτος
And you shall bring out your gear as gear of captivity by day before their eyes, and you shall go out in the evening as a captive goes out
Before them dig for yourself through the wall, and you shall go out through it
αὐτῶν ἐπ᾿ ὤμων ἀναλημφθήσῃ καὶ κεκρυμμένος ἐξελεύσῃ τὸ πρόσωπόν σου συγκαλύψεις καὶ οὐ μὴ ἴδῃς τὴν γῆν διότι τέρας δέδωκά σε τῷ οἴκῳ Ισραηλ
Before them you shall be carried on shoulders, and hidden you shall go out; you shall cover your face, and you shall not at all see the land, for I have given you as a sign to the house of Israel
ἐποίησα οὕτως κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐνετείλατό μοι καὶ σκεύη ἐξήνεγκα ὡς σκεύη αἰχμαλωσίας ἡμέρας καὶ ἑσπέρας διώρυξα ἐμαυτῷ τὸν τοῖχον καὶ κεκρυμμένος ἐξῆλθον ἐπ᾿ ὤμων ἀνελήμφθην ἐνώπιον αὐτῶν
And I did thus according to all that he commanded me, and I brought out the vessels as vessels of captivity by day and by evening I dug through the wall for myself, and hidden I went out; on shoulders I was taken up before them
And the word of the Lord came to me in the morning, saying:
Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the house that provokes to bitterness, said to you, What are you doing?
πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος ὁ ἄρχων καὶ ὁ ἀφηγούμενος ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ παντὶ οἴκῳ Ισραηλ οἵ εἰσιν ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῶν
Say to them: Thus says the Lord, Lord: the ruler and the one leading in Jerusalem and all the house of Israel who are among them
ὅτι ἐγὼ τέρατα ποιῶ ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς ὃν τρόπον πεποίηκα οὕτως ἔσται αὐτοῖς ἐν μετοικεσίᾳ καὶ ἐν αἰχμαλωσίᾳ πορεύσονται
Say, I am doing portents in her midst; as I have done, so it shall be to them; in exile and in captivity they shall go.
ὁ ἄρχων ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῶν ἐπ᾿ ὤμων ἀρθήσεται καὶ κεκρυμμένος ἐξελεύσεται διὰ τοῦ τοίχου καὶ διορύξει τοῦ ἐξελθεῖν αὐτὸν δι᾿ αὐτοῦ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ συγκαλύψει ὅπως μὴ ὁραθῇ ὀφθαλμῷ καὶ αὐτὸς τὴν γῆν οὐκ ὄψεται
And the ruler among them shall be lifted on shoulders, and he shall go out hidden through the wall, and they shall dig through for him to go out by it; he shall cover his face so that he may not be seen by eye, and he himself shall not see the land.
ἐκπετάσω τὸ δίκτυόν μου ἐπ᾿ αὐτόν καὶ συλλημφθήσεται ἐν τῇ περιοχῇ μου καὶ ἄξω αὐτὸν εἰς Βαβυλῶνα εἰς γῆν Χαλδαίων καὶ αὐτὴν οὐκ ὄψεται καὶ ἐκεῖ τελευτήσει
And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be caught in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, to the land of the Chaldeans, but he shall not see it, and there he shall die.
πάντας τοὺς κύκλῳ αὐτοῦ τοὺς βοηθοὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἀντιλαμβανομένους αὐτοῦ διασπερῶ εἰς πάντα ἄνεμον καὶ ῥομφαίαν ἐκκενώσω ὀπίσω αὐτῶν
And I will scatter all those around him, his helpers, and all those taking hold of him, into every wind, and I will empty out the sword after them.
γνώσονται διότι ἐγὼ κύριος ἐν τῷ διασκορπίσαι με αὐτοὺς ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν καὶ διασπερῶ αὐτοὺς ἐν ταῖς χώραις
And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I disperse them among the nations and I will scatter them among the lands.
ὑπολείψομαι ἐξ αὐτῶν ἄνδρας ἀριθμῷ ἐκ ῥομφαίας καὶ ἐκ λιμοῦ καὶ ἐκ θανάτου ὅπως ἐκδιηγῶνται πάσας τὰς ἀνομίας αὐτῶν ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν οὗ εἰσήλθοσαν ἐκεῖ καὶ γνώσονται ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος
And I will leave from them men by number from the sword and from famine and from death, so that they may declare all their lawless deeds among the nations where they entered there; and they will know that I am Lord
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying
Son of man, you shall eat your bread with distress, and you shall drink your water with torment and affliction.
ἐρεῖς πρὸς τὸν λαὸν τῆς γῆς τάδε λέγει κύριος τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν Ιερουσαλημ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς τοῦ Ισραηλ τοὺς ἄρτους αὐτῶν μετ᾿ ἐνδείας φάγονται καὶ τὸ ὕδωρ αὐτῶν μετὰ ἀφανισμοῦ πίονται ὅπως ἀφανισθῇ ἡ γῆ σὺν πληρώματι αὐτῆς ἐν ἀσεβείᾳ γὰρ πάντες οἱ κατοικοῦντες ἐν αὐτῇ
And you shall say to the people of the land, Thus says the Lord to those who dwell in Jerusalem on the land of Israel: they shall eat their bread with want, and their water they shall drink with desolation, so that the land may be laid waste with its fullness, for all who dwell in it are in ungodliness.
αἱ πόλεις αὐτῶν αἱ κατοικούμεναι ἐξερημωθήσονται καὶ ἡ γῆ εἰς ἀφανισμὸν ἔσται καὶ ἐπιγνώσεσθε διότι ἐγὼ κύριος
And their inhabited cities shall be made desolate, and the land shall be for destruction, and you shall know that I am the Lord.
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
Son of man, what is this proverb to you in the land of Israel, saying, The days are far off; the vision has perished?
τοῦτο εἰπὸν πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος ἀποστρέψω τὴν παραβολὴν ταύτην καὶ οὐκέτι μὴ εἴπωσιν τὴν παραβολὴν ταύτην οἶκος τοῦ Ισραηλ ὅτι λαλήσεις πρὸς αὐτούς ἠγγίκασιν αἱ ἡμέραι καὶ λόγος πάσης ὁράσεως
Therefore say to them: Thus says the Lord: I will turn this proverb aside, and they shall no longer say this proverb, house of Israel, that you speak to them: The days have drawn near, and the word of every vision.
For there shall no longer be any false vision and divining flattering things in the midst of the sons of Israel
ἐγὼ κύριος λαλήσω τοὺς λόγους μου λαλήσω καὶ ποιήσω καὶ οὐ μὴ μηκύνω ἔτι ὅτι ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ὑμῶν οἶκος ὁ παραπικραίνων λαλήσω λόγον καὶ ποιήσω λέγει κύριος
For I am the Lord; I will speak my words, I will speak and act, and I will surely no longer delay, because in your days, O provoking house, I will speak a word and will act, says the Lord
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying
ἀνθρώπου ἰδοὺ οἶκος Ισραηλ ὁ παραπικραίνων λέγοντες λέγουσιν ἡ ὅρασις ἣν οὗτος ὁρᾷ εἰς ἡμέρας πολλάς καὶ εἰς καιροὺς μακροὺς οὗτος προφητεύει
Son of man, behold, the house of Israel, the provoking one, saying, they say, The vision that this one sees is for many days and for long times; this one prophesies.
τοῦτο εἰπὸν πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος οὐ μὴ μηκύνωσιν οὐκέτι πάντες οἱ λόγοι μου οὓς ἂν λαλήσω λαλήσω καὶ ποιήσω λέγει κύριος
Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord: No longer shall all my words be delayed, whatever words I may speak, I will speak and I will do, says the Lord.
