And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

Son of man, prophesy and say: Thus says the Lord: Ah, ah, the day!

For near is the day of the Lord; a day of end it shall be of nations.

And a sword shall come upon the Egyptians, and there shall be turmoil in Ethiopia, and they shall fall wounded in Egypt, and her foundations shall collapse.

Persians and Cretans and Lydians and Libyans and all the mixed people and of the sons of my covenant shall fall by the sword in it

And the supports of Egypt shall fall, and the pride of her strength shall come down from Migdol to Syene; they shall fall in her by the sword, says the Lord

And it shall be desolated in the midst of desolated lands, and their cities shall be in the midst of desolated cities.

And they shall know that I am Lord, when I give fire upon Egypt and all her helpers are shattered.

On that day messengers will go out, hastening to destroy Ethiopia, and there will be confusion among them on the day of Egypt, for behold, it is coming

Thus says the Lord Lord: and I will destroy a multitude of Egyptians by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon

of him and of his people, plagues sent from nations to destroy the land; and they will all draw out their swords against Egypt, and the land will be filled with the slain

And I will make their rivers desolate, and I will destroy the land and its fullness by the hands of strangers; I, the Lord, have spoken.

For thus says the Lord Lord: and I will destroy magnates from Memphis and rulers from the land of Egypt, and they shall no longer be.

And I will destroy the land of Pathures, and I will put fire upon Tanis, and I will execute vengeance in Diospolis.

And I will pour out my wrath upon Sais, the strength of Egypt, and I will destroy the multitude of Memphis

And I will give fire upon Egypt, and Syene will be thrown into turmoil, and in Diospolis there will be an outburst, and waters will be poured out.

The young men of Heliopolis and of Bubastis shall fall by the sword, and the women shall go into captivity.

And in Tahpanhes the day will be darkened, when I break there the scepters of Egypt, and there the pride of her strength will perish, and a cloud will cover her, and her daughters will be led away captive.

And I will execute judgment in Egypt, and they shall know that I am the Lord.

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

Son of man, I have broken the arms of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and behold, it has not been bound up, to give healing, to put a bandage upon it, to give strength to seize the sword.

Therefore thus says the Lord Lord: behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and I will break his strong arms and the outstretched ones, and I will cast his sword from his hand.

And I will scatter Egypt among the nations, and I will winnow them into the lands

And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and I will put my sword into his hand, and he will bring it against Egypt and will plunder its plunder and will spoil its spoil

And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh shall fall; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I give my sword into the hands of the king of Babylon and he shall stretch it out against the land of Egypt.

And I will scatter Egypt among the nations, and I will winnow them into the lands, and all will know that I am the Lord.
