In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the first of the month, a word of the Lord came to me, saying:

Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.
and say, Thus says the Lord: behold, I am against Pharaoh, the great dragon, the one that sits in the midst of his rivers, the one saying, The rivers are mine, and I made them
And I will put hooks into your jaws, and I will fasten the fish of your river to your wings, and I will bring you up out of the midst of your river, and all the fish of your river.
and I will cast you down with speed, and all the fish of your river shall fall upon the face of the field, and you shall not be gathered, and you shall not be wrapped up, to the beasts of the earth and to the birds of the heaven I have given you for food
And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the Lord, because you became a reed staff to the house of Israel.
When they took hold of you with their hand, you were broken, and when every hand had prevailed against them, and when they leaned upon you, you were shattered and you broke all their loins
Therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I am bringing upon you a sword, and I will destroy from you men and cattle.
And the land of Egypt shall be destruction and desolation, and they shall know that I am the Lord, because you said, The rivers are mine, and I made them.
Therefore, behold, I am against you and against all your rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt into a wilderness and a sword and destruction, from Migdol and Syene and as far as the borders of the Ethiopians.
No foot of man shall pass through it, and no foot of beast shall pass through it, and it shall not be inhabited forty years.
And I will make her land a desolation in the midst of desolate lands, and her cities shall be in the midst of cities that have been desolated, for forty years; and I will scatter Egypt among the nations and winnow them into the lands
Thus says the Lord: after forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the nations among which they were scattered there
And I will turn back the captivity of the Egyptians and I will settle them in the land of Pathures, in the land from which they were taken, and it will be a lowly beginning.
more than all the kingdoms it shall not be exalted anymore over the nations, and I will make them few so that they should not be more among the nations
And they shall no longer be for the house of Israel for a hope, bringing lawlessness to remembrance, when they followed after them; and they shall know that I am Lord.
And it came to pass in the twenty-seventh year, on the first of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon enslaved his army with great servitude against Tyre; every head was bald and every shoulder rubbed bare, and there was no wages to him and to his army for the servitude with which they served against her
Thus says the Lord Lord: behold, I am giving to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon the land of Egypt, and he shall plunder its plunder and strip its spoil, and it shall be wages for his army.
As compensation for his service with which he served against Tyre, I have given him the land of Egypt; thus says the Lord Lord
In that day I will cause a horn to spring up for all the house of Israel, and I will give you an opened mouth in their midst, and they will know that I am the Lord
