And he said, Take your beloved son, whom you loved, Isaac, and go into the high land, and offer him there for a whole burnt offering on one of the mountains which I may tell you.
And Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and he took with him two servants and Isaac his son; and having split wood for a burnt offering, he arose and went and came to the place which God had said to him.
And Abraham took the wood of the whole burnt offering and put it on Isaac his son, and he took the fire in his hand and the knife, and the two went together
And Isaac said to Abraham his father, saying, Father. And he said, What is it, child? And he said, Behold, the fire and the wood; where is the sheep for the whole burnt offering?
They came to the place which God had said to him, and Abraham built there an altar and put the wood in order, and, having bound Isaac his son, he laid him on the altar upon the wood.
And he said, Do not lay your hand on the child, nor do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, you, and you did not spare your beloved son because of me.
And Abraham, having looked up with his eyes, saw, and behold, one ram was held fast in a thicket of Sabek by the horns; and Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a whole burnt offering instead of Isaac his son.
Surely blessing I will bless you and multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is beside the seashore, and your seed shall inherit the cities of the adversaries.
