And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as he had spoken.

And having conceived, Sarah bore to Abraham a son in his old age, at the time as the Lord had spoken to him.

And Abraham called the name of his son, the one born to him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac.

And Abraham circumcised Isaac on the eighth day, just as God commanded him.

And Abraham was a hundred years old when Isaac his son was born to him.

And Sarah said, The Lord has made laughter for me; for whoever hears will rejoice with me.

And she said, Who will announce to Abraham that Sarah is nursing a child, that I have borne a son in my old age?

And the child grew and was weaned, and Abraham made a great feast on the day Isaac his son was weaned.

And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, who had been born to Abraham, playing with Isaac her son

And she said to Abraham, Cast out this maidservant and her son, for the son of this maidservant shall not inherit with my son Isaac.

And the matter was very hard in the sight of Abraham concerning his son.

And God said to Abraham, Let not the word be hard in your sight concerning the child and concerning the maidservant; all that Sarah may say to you, listen to her voice, for in Isaac your seed shall be called.

And the son of this maidservant also I will make into a great nation, because he is your seed.

And Abraham rose early in the morning and took bread and a skin of water and gave to Hagar, and he put them on the shoulder, and the child, and sent her away; and she went and was wandering in the wilderness by the well of the oath.

And the water failed from the skin, and she cast the child under one of the fir trees.

And having gone away she sat opposite him far off, about a bowshot, for she said, I shall not see the death of my child. And she sat opposite him, and the child cried out and wept.

And God heard the voice of the child from the place where he was, and the angel of God called Hagar from heaven and said to her, What is it, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of your child from the place where he is.

Rise up, take the child and hold him with your hand, for I will make him into a great nation

And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of living water, and she went and filled the skin of water and gave the child drink

And God was with the child, and he grew and dwelt in the wilderness, and he became an archer.

And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran, and his mother took for him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

And it happened in that time that Abimelech and Ochozath his friend and Phicol the commander of his force said to Abraham, saying, God is with you in all that you may do.

Now therefore swear to me by God that you will not wrong me, nor my offspring, nor my name, but according to the righteousness that I have done with you, you will do with me and with the land in which you sojourned.

And Abraham said, I swear.

And Abraham reproved Abimelech concerning the wells of water which the servants of Abimelech had taken away.

And Abimelech said to him, I did not know who did this thing, neither did you tell me, nor did I hear it, except today.

And Abraham took sheep and calves and gave to Abimelech, and the two of them made a covenant

And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of sheep alone

And Abimelech said to Abraham, What are these seven ewe lambs of these sheep that you set apart by themselves?

And Abraham said, Because you shall take these seven ewe lambs from me, so that they may be for me as a witness that I dug this well.

Therefore he named the name of that place Beer-sheba, because there both of them swore an oath.

And they made a covenant at the well of the oath. And Abimelech rose up, and Ochozath his companion, and Phicol the commander-in-chief of his force, and they returned to the land of the Philistines.

And Abraham planted a tamarisk tree by the well of the oath, and there he called on the name of the Lord, God eternal.

And Abraham sojourned in the land of the Philistines many days.
