Ephraim has surrounded me with falsehood, and the house of Israel and Judah with ungodliness; now God has known them, and a holy people shall be called of God

But Ephraim pursued a evil spirit, a burning heat all the day; he multiplied empty and vain things, and he made a covenant with the Assyrians and carried on trade with oil to Egypt.

And judgment belongs to the Lord against Judah, to punish Jacob according to his ways and according to his practices he will repay him

Ephraim provoked him to anger, and he angered; and his blood shall be poured out upon him, and the Lord shall requite him for his reproach.
