Ephraim has surrounded me with falsehood, and the house of Israel and Judah with ungodliness; now God has known them, and a holy people shall be called of God
But Ephraim pursued a evil spirit, a burning heat all the day; he multiplied empty and vain things, and he made a covenant with the Assyrians and carried on trade with oil to Egypt.
And judgment belongs to the Lord against Judah, to punish Jacob according to his ways and according to his practices he will repay him
In the womb he tripped his brother, and in his labors he prevailed with God.
And he prevailed with an angel and was strengthened; they wept and entreated me; in the house of On they found me, and there it was spoken to him.
But the Lord God the Almighty will be his memorial
And you shall turn to your God; keep mercy and judgment, and draw near to your God continually.
Canaan, in his hand is a yoke of injustice; he loved to oppress.
And Ephraim said, Nevertheless, I have become rich, I have found relief for myself; all his labors shall not be found for him, because of the injustices by which he sinned.
But I am the Lord your God, I brought you up out of the land of Egypt; I will yet make you dwell in tents, as in the day of the feast.
And I will speak to the prophets, and I multiplied visions, and by means of the hands of the prophets I was likened.
If Gilead is not, then the rulers in Gilgal were surely false, sacrificing, and their altars were like heaps of stones on the furrowed field.
And Jacob withdrew into the plain of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept watch.
And by a prophet the Lord brought up Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet he was guarded
Ephraim provoked him to anger, and he angered; and his blood shall be poured out upon him, and the Lord shall requite him for his reproach.
