Behold now, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, will remove from Judea and from Jerusalem the mighty man and the mighty woman, strength of bread and strength of water
And answering he will say in that day, I will not be your leader, for there is not in my house bread nor clothing; I will not be leader of this people.
For Jerusalem has been abandoned, and Judea has fallen, and their tongues are with lawlessness, being disobedient in the things against the Lord, because now their glory has been brought low
And the shame of their face has stood against them, but they have declared their sin as that of Sodom, and they have made it known. Woe to their soul, because they have taken counsel, an evil counsel against themselves.
My people, your exactors strip you, and your creditors rule over you; my people, your blessers lead you astray, and they disturb the path of your feet.
The Lord himself will come into judgment with the elders of the people and with its rulers: But you, why have you burned up my vineyard, and the plunder of the poor is in your houses?
Thus says the Lord: because the daughters of Zion have been exalted and have walked with raised neck and with motions of the eyes and in the gait of the feet, at the same time dragging their tunics and at the same time playing with their feet.
and the linen garments and the hyacinth-colored garments and the scarlet ones and the fine linen woven together with gold and hyacinth and the summer robes, lying down
And it shall be, instead of sweet fragrance, dust, and instead of a belt, you shall gird yourself with a rope, and instead of the adornment of the head, of gold, baldness you shall have, because of your works, and instead of the tunic of purple, you shall gird sackcloth
