And it came to pass in the year in which Uzziah the king died, I saw the Lord sitting upon a high and lifted-up throne, and the house was full of his glory.

And seraphim were standing around him; six wings to the one and six wings to the other, and with the two they covered the face, and with the two they covered the feet, and with the two they were flying

And one cried to another and they were saying: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; all the earth is full of his glory.

And the lintel was raised from the voice with which they cried out, and the house was filled with smoke

And I said, Alas for me, because I am pierced, because, being a man and having unclean lips, I dwell in the midst of a people having unclean lips, and with my eyes I have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.

And one of the seraphim was sent to me, and in his hand he had a coal, which he had taken with the tongs from the altar.

and he touched my mouth and said, behold, this has touched your lips, and it will take away your iniquities and it will thoroughly cleanse your sins

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go to this people? And I said, Behold, I am here; send me.

And he said, Go and say to this people: By hearing you will hear and by no means understand, and seeing you will see and by no means perceive.

For the heart of this people has become fat, and with their ears they heard heavily, and their eyes they have closed, lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn back, and I will heal them

And I said, Until when, Lord? And he said, Until cities are made desolate without inhabitant, and houses are without men, and the land shall be left desolate.

And after these things God will make the men far away, and those who were left will be multiplied upon the earth.

And yet a tenth is in it, and again it will be for plunder, like a terebinth and like an acorn when it falls from its husk.
