And the Lord said to me, Take for yourself a large new scroll, and write on it with a man’s stylus, For plunder swiftly to make spoil is at hand.

And make for me faithful men as witnesses, Uriah and Zechariah son of Barachiah

And I went in to the prophetess, and she conceived in the womb and bore a son. And the Lord said to me, Call his name Swiftly-spoil, Quickly-plunder.

For before the child knows to call father or mother, he will receive the power of Damascus and the spoils of Samaria, before the king of the Assyrians.

And the Lord continued to speak to me further.

Because this people has not willed the water of Siloam, that goes gently, but has willed to have Rezin and the son of Remaliah as king over you

Therefore behold, the Lord is bringing up against you the water of the river, strong and many, the king of the Assyrians and his glory, and it will go up over all your ravine and will go along over every wall of yours

And he will remove from Judea a man who will be able to lift up a head or to accomplish anything mighty, and his camp will be so as to fill the breadth of your land, O God with us.

Know, nations, and be defeated; listen, even to the end of the earth; being strong, be defeated. For if again you should be strong, again you will be defeated.

and whatever counsel you might take, the Lord will scatter, and whatever word you might speak shall by no means remain with you, because the Lord God is with us

Thus says the Lord with a strong hand upon the way of this people, saying:

Do not ever say, “Hard”; for every thing that this people says, “Hard it is.” But their fear you shall not fear, nor shall you be troubled.

The Lord himself you shall sanctify, and he shall be your fear.

And if you are trusting in him, he shall be for you as a sanctuary, and you shall not meet him as a stone of stumbling nor as a rock of falling; but the house of Jacob are seated in a snare and in a hollow in Jerusalem

Therefore many among them shall be unable, and they shall fall and be shattered and draw near and be taken, men being in safety

Then the sealed ones of the law will be made manifest, not to learn

And he will say, I will wait for God, who has turned his face away from the house of Jacob, and I will be trusting in him.

Behold, I and the children whom God has given me shall be for signs and wonders in the house of Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells in Mount Zion

And if they say to you, Seek out the ones who speak from the earth and the ventriloquists, the babblers, who speak from the belly, not a nation to its god—why do they inquire concerning the living of the dead?

For he gave the law for help, that they might say, not as this word, concerning which there is no gifts to give concerning it

And hard famine will come upon you, and it shall be, when you hunger, you will be grieved, and you will speak evil of the ruler and the low places, and they will look up to the heaven above

And they will look into the earth below, and behold, distress and hardship and darkness, hard-pressed darkness, and darkness so as not to see

And the one being in distress will not be left helpless until time; this first, do quickly, do speedily: land of Zebulun, land of Naphtali, way of the sea, and the rest, those dwelling by the coastland and beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations, the parts of Judea
