turning aside the judgment of the poor, seizing the justice of the needy of my people, so that the widow may be a prey for them and the orphan for plunder
And what will they do in the day of visitation? For tribulation will come to you from far away, and to whom will you flee for help, and where will you leave your glory?
so as not to fall into captivity; for all these things his anger has not turned back, but still the hand is high
Woe to the Assyrians; the rod of my wrath and anger is in their hands.
My wrath I will send against a lawless nation, and to my people I will command to make spoil and plunder and to trample the cities and to make them into dust
But he did not so intend, and in his soul he did not so reckon, but his mind will remove, and to destroy nations not a few
And if they should say to him, You alone are ruler
And he will say, Did I not take the land above Babylon and Chalanne, where the tower was built, and did I take Arabia and Damascus and Samaria?
As I have taken these in my hand, so shall I take all the kingdoms; howl, you carved images in Jerusalem and in Samaria
For as I did to Samaria and to its handmade things, so I will do also to Jerusalem and to its idols.
And it shall be when the Lord finishes doing all things in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, he will bring upon the great mind, the ruler of the Assyrians, and upon the height of the glory of his eyes.
For he said, By my strength I will do it, and by the wisdom of understanding I will remove the boundaries of nations, and their strength I will plunder, and I will shake inhabited cities.
and I will seize the whole inhabited world with my hand as a nest, and as eggs left behind I will take away, and there is no one who will escape me or speak against me
Shall an axe boast itself without the one cutting with it, or shall a saw be exalted without the one drawing it? So also, if anyone lifts a rod or wood,
And not so, but the Lord of Sabaoth will send upon your honor dishonor, and upon your glory a burning fire will be kindled.
And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and he shall sanctify it in a burning fire, and it shall devour the undergrowth like grass on that day.
And the mountains and the hills and the woods will be extinguished, and it will devour from soul to flesh, and the one fleeing will be like one fleeing from a burning flame
And the ones left from them shall be a number, and a little child shall write them down
And it shall be in that day, no longer shall the remnant of Israel be added, and those who have been saved of Jacob shall no longer by no means trust in those who wronged them, but they shall trust in God, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
And the remnant of Jacob shall be for a mighty God
And even if the people of Israel become as the sand of the sea, the remnant of them will be saved; for a matter finishing and cutting short in righteousness
For the Lord will make a shortened word in all the inhabited world.
Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: Do not fear, my people, you who dwell in Zion, because of the Assyrians, for he will strike you with a rod; for I am bringing upon you a blow, to see the way of Egypt.
For yet a little while, and the wrath will cease, and my anger against their plan.
And God will stir up against them according to the blow of Midian in the place of affliction, and his wrath on the way toward the sea, to the way toward Egypt
And it shall be in that day: his fear shall be taken away from you, and his yoke from your shoulder, and the yoke shall be destroyed from your shoulders.
For he will come into the city of Aiath and will pass on into Magdō, and in Michmash he will place his baggage.
And it will pass through the ravine and it will come to Aiath; fear will seize Ramah; the city of Saul will flee.
The daughter of Gallim shall listen; Laish shall listen, Anathoth.
Madmena has fled, and the inhabitants of Gebim, take courage.
Today, on the road to remain by the hand, encourage the mountain, the daughter of Zion, and the hills that are in Jerusalem
For behold, the Lord, the Lord of Sabaoth, will shake the glorious ones with might, and the haughty shall be broken, and the lofty shall be humbled
And the high ones shall fall by the sword, and Lebanon with the high ones shall fall.
