Rejoice, barren one, who does not bear; break forth and cry out, you who do not labor in birth, because many are the children of the desolate more than of her who has the husband, for the Lord has said.

Enlarge the place of your tent, and spread out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare, lengthen your ropes and strengthen your stakes.

Still to the right and to the left spread out, and your seed will inherit nations, and you will inhabit desolated cities.

Do not fear, because you have been put to shame; nor be confounded, because you have been reproached; because you will forget eternal shame, and you will surely not remember the reproach of your widowhood.

For your husband is the Lord, the one making you; the Lord of hosts is his name, and the one who delivered you, he himself, the God of Israel, will be called of all the earth.

For the Lord has called you not as a woman forsaken and fainthearted, nor as a woman hated from youth, said your God.

For a little time I abandoned you, and with great mercy I will have mercy on you

In a little wrath I turned my face away from you, and in everlasting mercy I will have mercy on you, said the Lord, your deliverer.

As with the water of Noah, this is to me, because I swore to him in that time to the earth not to be angry against you any more, nor in your rebuke

The mountains shall be removed, and your hills shall not be shaken; thus neither shall my mercy from me fail for you, nor shall your covenant of peace by any means be removed, said the Lord who is merciful to you.

Afflicted and tossed, you were not comforted; behold, I am preparing your stone as coal, and your foundations as sapphire

And I will make your battlements jasper, and your gates crystal stones, and your surrounding wall chosen stones.

And all your sons taught by God, and in much peace your children

And in righteousness you shall be built up; keep far from injustice, and you shall not fear, and terror shall not come near you.

Behold, proselytes shall come to you through me, and they shall take refuge upon you.

Behold, I have created you, not as a smith blowing coals and bringing out a vessel for work; but I have created you not for destruction, to destroy.

Every destructive weapon against you I will not prosper, and every voice that rises against you in judgment, all these you shall defeat; but your accusers shall be in it. This is the inheritance for those who serve the Lord, and you shall be righteous to me, says the Lord.
