The Koine Bible

You who are thirsting, go to water, and as many as do not have silver, having gone, buy and drink, without silver and without price, wine and fatness

Why do you spend silver, and your labor not for satisfaction? Listen to me, and you shall eat good things, and your soul shall delight in good things.

Incline your ears and follow my ways; listen to me, and your soul shall live in good things, and I will make with you an eternal covenant, the holy things of David, the faithful things.

Behold, I have given him as a witness among the nations, a ruler and commander of nations.

Nations that did not know you shall call upon you, and peoples who did not understand you shall flee to you, because of your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has glorified you.

Seek God, and while finding him call upon him; whenever he draws near to you.

Let the ungodly man forsake his ways and the lawless man his counsels, and let him turn to the Lord, and he will be shown mercy, because he will abundantly forgive your sins.

For my plans are not as your plans, nor are my ways as your ways, says the Lord.

But as the heaven is far from the earth, so far is my way from your ways, and your thoughts from my thought.

For as rain or snow comes down from heaven and shall not return until it has watered the earth and brought forth and made sprout and given seed to the sower and bread for food

So shall be my word which if it goes out from my mouth; it shall certainly not return until whatever I have willed is accomplished, and I will prosper your ways and my commandments

For with gladness you shall go out, and with joy you shall be taught; for the mountains and the hills shall leap up, receiving you with joy, and all the trees of the field shall clap with the branches

And instead of the thorn shall the cypress rise up, and instead of the brier shall the myrtle rise up; and the Lord shall be for a name, and for an everlasting sign, and shall not fail.
