Who is this who comes from Edom, the redness of garments from Bosor, thus splendid in apparel, in violence, with strength? I speak righteousness and judgment of salvation

Why are your garments red, and your clothes like from a trodden winepress?

I was full of trodden-down things, and of the nations there was no man with me, and I trod them down in wrath and crushed them as earth, and I brought down their blood to the ground

For the day of recompense has come upon them, and the year of redemption is present.

And I looked, and there was no helper; and I considered, and no one was supporting; and my arm delivered them, and my wrath came upon them.

And I trampled them down in my wrath, and I brought down their blood to the ground

I remembered the mercy of the Lord, the virtues of the Lord, in all things with which the Lord repays us; the Lord, a good judge, brings upon us for the house of Israel according to his mercy and according to the abundance of his righteousness.

And he said, Surely they are my people, children who will not deal falsely; and he became to them for salvation.

Out of every affliction, not an envoy nor an angel, but the Lord himself saved them, because he loved them and spared them; he himself redeemed them and took them up and exalted them all the days of the age.

But they disobeyed and provoked his Holy Spirit, and it turned to them into hostility, and he himself fought against them

And he remembered the days of old, the one who brought up from the land the shepherd of the sheep. Where is the one who put the Holy Spirit among them?

who led Moses by the right hand, the arm of his glory strengthened water from before his face to make for him an everlasting name

He led them through the abyss as a horse through the wilderness, and they did not grow weary

And as cattle through a plain, a spirit from the Lord went down and guided them; so you led your people, to make for yourself a name of glory.

Turn back from heaven and see from your holy house and glory: where is your zeal and your strength? Where is the multitude of your mercy and your compassions? For you have held back from us

For you are our Father; for Abraham did not know us, and Israel did not recognize us, but you, Lord, are our Father; deliver us. From the beginning your name is upon us.

Why did you lead us astray, O Lord, from your way? You hardened our hearts so as not to fear you. Turn back because of your servants, because of the tribes of your inheritance.

for a little while we inherited the mountain of your holy one; our adversaries trampled your sanctuary

We have become as from the beginning, when you did not rule us, and your name was not called upon us. If you open the heaven, trembling will seize from you mountains and they will melt.
