And you shall not take a wife, says the Lord, the God of Israel.

And there shall not be born to you a son or a daughter in this place.

For thus says the Lord concerning the sons and concerning the daughters who are being born in this place, and concerning their mothers who have borne them, and concerning their fathers who have begotten them in this land

By a grievous death they shall die; they shall not be lamented, and they shall not be buried; they shall be for an example on the face of the earth, and to the beasts of the earth and to the birds of the heaven they shall fall by the sword, and by famine they shall come to an end

Thus says the Lord: Do not enter into their feast, and do not go to lament, and do not mourn for them, for I have taken away my peace from this people.

They shall not cut themselves for them, nor shall they make baldness, and they shall not shave themselves.

and they shall surely not break bread in their mourning for comfort over one who has died; they shall not give him a cup for comfort over his father and his mother

You shall not enter into a house of feasting, to sit down with them to eat and to drink

For thus says the Lord God of Israel: Behold, I am removing from this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of bridegroom and the voice of bride.

And it shall be, when you announce to this people all these words, and they say to you, Why has the Lord spoken against us all these evils? What is our injustice, and what is our sin that we sinned before the Lord our God?

And you shall say to them: Because your fathers abandoned me, says the Lord, and went after foreign gods and served them and worshiped them and abandoned me and did not keep my law.

And you have acted more wickedly than your fathers, and behold, you go each one after the things pleasing to your evil heart, so as not to obey me

And I will cast you away from this land into the land that you did not know, you and your fathers, and there you will serve other gods, who will not give you mercy

Therefore behold, days are coming, says the Lord, and they shall no longer say, As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt

But the Lord lives, who brought up the house of Israel out of the land of the north and out of all the lands where they were driven there, and I will restore them to their land, which I gave to their fathers

Behold, I am sending many fishermen, says the Lord, and they shall fish them, and after these things I will send many hunters, and they shall hunt them on every mountain and on every hill and out of the holes of the rocks

For my eyes are upon all their ways, and their injustices were not hidden from before my eyes.

And I will repay their iniquities twice and their sins, because they defiled my land with the dead bodies of their abominations and with their lawlessnesses, in which they transgressed my inheritance.

Lord, my strength and my help and my refuge in the day of evils, to you nations shall come from the end of the earth and shall say, Our fathers acquired idols as falsehood and there is no benefit in them.

Can a man make gods for himself, and these are no gods?

Therefore behold, I will make known to them at this time my hand, and I will make known to them my power, and they shall know that my name is the Lord
