concerning Egypt, against the power of Pharaoh Neco king of Egypt, who was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon struck in the fourth year of Jehoiakim king of Judah

And that day is to the Lord our God a day of vengeance, to avenge himself on his enemies; and the sword of the Lord shall devour and shall be satisfied and shall be made drunk from their blood, because it is a sacrifice to the Lord Sabaoth from the land of the north by the river Euphrates.

and your multitude became weak and fell, and each one spoke to his neighbor, Let us rise up and let us return to our people, to our fatherland, from before the face of the Greek sword

And her hired men in her were like fatted calves, being nourished in her, because they also turned away and fled together; they did not stand, because the day of destruction came upon them and the time of their vengeance.

But you, my servant Jacob, do not fear, nor be terrified, Israel, because behold, I am saving you from afar, and your seed from their captivity; and Jacob shall return and be at rest and sleep, and there shall be no one troubling him.
28
Do not fear, my servant Jacob, says the Lord, for I am with you, for I will make a complete end of all the nations where I drove you there, but you I will not utterly destroy, and I will discipline you with justice, and I will not leave you unpunished.
