The Koine Bible

And Elius answered and says,

Do you consider this in judgment? You, who are you, that you said, I am righteous before the Lord?

Or will you say, What shall I do, having sinned?

I will give you an answer, and to your three friends.

Look up to heaven and see; and observe the clouds how high they are from you

If you have sinned, what will you do? And if indeed you have transgressed much, what are you able to do?

If then you are righteous, what will you give him, or what will he receive from your hand?

Your wickedness is for a man like you, and your righteousness for a son of man.

Because of the multitude they cry out under oppression; they shout because of the arm of the many.

But no one said, Where is God, who made me, who appoints night watches?

who teaches me more than the beasts of the earth and than the birds of the sky

There they will cry out, and he will certainly not listen, because of the arrogance of evil men.

For the Lord does not wish to see absurd things, for he himself, the Almighty, is the one who sees.

You are one of those who bring wicked deeds to completion, and he will save me; be judged before him; if you are able, praise him as he is

And now, because he has not visited in his anger, and he has not regarded transgression greatly,

And Job opens his mouth in vain; in ignorance he weighs down words.
