I know that you are able to do all things, and nothing is impossible for you.
γάρ ἐστιν ὁ κρύπτων σε βουλήν φειδόμενος δὲ ῥημάτων καὶ σὲ οἴεται κρύπτειν τίς δὲ ἀναγγελεῖ μοι ἃ οὐκ ᾔδειν μεγάλα καὶ θαυμαστὰ ἃ οὐκ ἠπιστάμην
For who is this who hides counsel from you, sparing words, and thinks to hide you? And who will declare to me what I did not know, great and marvelous things that I did not understand?
Hear me, Lord, that I also may speak; and I will ask you, and you, teach me.
By the hearing of the ear I had heard of you before, but now my eye has seen you
Therefore I have counted myself nothing, and I have melted away; but I have considered myself dust and ashes.
δὲ μετὰ τὸ λαλῆσαι τὸν κύριον πάντα τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα τῷ Ιωβ εἶπεν ὁ κύριος Ελιφας τῷ Θαιμανίτῃ ἥμαρτες σὺ καὶ οἱ δύο φίλοι σου οὐ γὰρ ἐλαλήσατε ἐνώπιόν μου ἀληθὲς οὐδὲν ὥσπερ ὁ θεράπων μου Ιωβ
And it came to pass, after the Lord had spoken all these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, You have sinned, you and your two friends, for you have not spoken before me anything true, as my servant Job has.
δὲ λάβετε ἑπτὰ μόσχους καὶ ἑπτὰ κριοὺς καὶ πορεύθητε πρὸς τὸν θεράποντά μου Ιωβ καὶ ποιήσει κάρπωσιν περὶ ὑμῶν Ιωβ δὲ ὁ θεράπων μου εὔξεται περὶ ὑμῶν ὅτι εἰ μὴ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ λήμψομαι εἰ μὴ γὰρ δι᾿ αὐτόν ἀπώλεσα ἂν ὑμᾶς οὐ γὰρ ἐλαλήσατε ἀληθὲς κατὰ τοῦ θεράποντός μου Ιωβ
Now then take seven calves and seven rams and go to my servant Job, and he shall make an offering for you; and Job my servant shall pray for you, for if not, I would accept his face; for unless through him I would have destroyed you, for you did not speak truth against my servant Job.
δὲ Ελιφας ὁ Θαιμανίτης καὶ Βαλδαδ ὁ Σαυχίτης καὶ Σωφαρ ὁ Μιναῖος καὶ ἐποίησαν καθὼς συνέταξεν αὐτοῖς ὁ κύριος καὶ ἔλυσεν τὴν ἁμαρτίαν αὐτοῖς διὰ Ιωβ
And Eliphaz the Thaimanite and Bildad the Sauchite and Zophar the Minaean went and did as the Lord commanded them, and he removed their sin through Job
δὲ κύριος ηὔξησεν τὸν Ιωβ εὐξαμένου δὲ αὐτοῦ καὶ περὶ τῶν φίλων αὐτοῦ ἀφῆκεν αὐτοῖς τὴν ἁμαρτίαν ἔδωκεν δὲ ὁ κύριος διπλᾶ ὅσα ἦν ἔμπροσθεν Ιωβ εἰς διπλασιασμόν
And the Lord increased Job, and when he had prayed also concerning his friends, he forgave them their sin; and the Lord gave double as many as Job had before, for doubling.
δὲ πάντες οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ αἱ ἀδελφαὶ αὐτοῦ πάντα τὰ συμβεβηκότα αὐτῷ καὶ ἦλθον πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ πάντες ὅσοι ᾔδεισαν αὐτὸν ἐκ πρώτου φαγόντες δὲ καὶ πιόντες παρ᾿ αὐτῷ παρεκάλεσαν αὐτόν καὶ ἐθαύμασαν ἐπὶ πᾶσιν οἷς ἐπήγαγεν αὐτῷ ὁ κύριος ἔδωκεν δὲ αὐτῷ ἕκαστος ἀμνάδα μίαν καὶ τετράδραχμον χρυσοῦν ἄσημον
And all his brothers and his sisters heard all the things that had happened to him, and they came to him, and all who had known him before, and they ate bread and drank with him, and they comforted him and marveled at all things that the Lord had brought upon him. And each one gave him one ewe lamb and one gold tetradrachm of unstamped gold.
δὲ κύριος εὐλόγησεν τὰ ἔσχατα Ιωβ ἢ τὰ ἔμπροσθεν ἦν δὲ τὰ κτήνη αὐτοῦ πρόβατα μύρια τετρακισχίλια κάμηλοι ἑξακισχίλιαι ζεύγη βοῶν χίλια ὄνοι θήλειαι νομάδες χίλιαι
And the Lord blessed the latter things of Iob more than the former; and his cattle were four thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-donkeys roaming at pasture
And there were born to him seven sons and three daughters
and he called the first Day, and the second Cassia, and the third Amaltheia’s horn
οὐχ εὑρέθησαν κατὰ τὰς θυγατέρας Ιωβ βελτίους αὐτῶν ἐν τῇ ὑπ᾿ οὐρανόν ἔδωκεν δὲ αὐταῖς ὁ πατὴρ κληρονομίαν ἐν τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς
And there were not found in all the land women more beautiful than the daughters of Job, and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers
δὲ Ιωβ μετὰ τὴν πληγὴν ἔτη ἑκατὸν ἑβδομήκοντα τὰ δὲ πάντα ἔζησεν ἔτη διακόσια τεσσαράκοντα ὀκτώ καὶ εἶδεν Ιωβ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ τετάρτην γενεάν
And Job lived after the plague one hundred and seventy years, and all the years he lived were two hundred and forty-eight years, and Job saw his sons and his sons’ sons, the fourth generation.
ἐτελεύτησεν Ιωβ πρεσβύτερος καὶ πλήρης ἡμερῶν δὲ αὐτὸν πάλιν ἀναστήσεσθαι μεθ᾿ ὧν ὁ κύριος ἀνίστησιν ἑρμηνεύεται ἐκ τῆς Συριακῆς βίβλου ἐν μὲν γῇ κατοικῶν τῇ Αυσίτιδι ἐπὶ τοῖς ὁρίοις τῆς Ιδουμαίας καὶ Ἀραβίας προϋπῆρχεν δὲ αὐτῷ ὄνομα Ιωβαβ δὲ γυναῖκα Ἀράβισσαν γεννᾷ υἱόν ᾧ ὄνομα Εννων ἦν δὲ αὐτὸς πατρὸς μὲν Ζαρε τῶν Ησαυ υἱῶν υἱός μητρὸς δὲ Βοσορρας ὥστε εἶναι αὐτὸν πέμπτον ἀπὸ Αβρααμ οὗτοι οἱ βασιλεῖς οἱ βασιλεύσαντες ἐν Εδωμ ἧς καὶ αὐτὸς ἦρξεν χώρας πρῶτος Βαλακ ὁ τοῦ Βεωρ καὶ ὄνομα τῇ πόλει αὐτοῦ Δενναβα μετὰ δὲ Βαλακ Ιωβαβ ὁ καλούμενος Ιωβ μετὰ δὲ τοῦτον Ασομ ὁ ὑπάρχων ἡγεμὼν ἐκ τῆς Θαιμανίτιδος χώρας μετὰ δὲ τοῦτον Αδαδ υἱὸς Βαραδ ὁ ἐκκόψας Μαδιαμ ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ Μωαβ καὶ ὄνομα τῇ πόλει αὐτοῦ Γεθθαιμ δὲ ἐλθόντες πρὸς αὐτὸν φίλοι Ελιφας τῶν Ησαυ υἱῶν Θαιμανων βασιλεύς Βαλδαδ ὁ Σαυχαίων τύραννος Σωφαρ ὁ Μιναίων βασιλεύς
And Job died, old and full of days.
