all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon as far as Maserephothmaim, all the Sidonians, I will utterly destroy them from before Israel; but distribute it by lot to Israel, as I commanded you

And now divide this land in inheritance to the nine tribes and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, from the Jordan as far as the great sea; toward the west of the sun you shall give it; the great sea shall be its boundary.
