And these are the ones who inherited among the sons of Israel in the land of Canaan, to whom Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun and the leaders of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel apportioned by inheritance for them.

Therefore Hebron became Caleb’s, the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, by lot, until this day, because he followed the command of the Lord God of Israel.
